Cassano was a joker, I thought he’d really kick on when he made the move to Real Madrid but he just didn’t take it seriously at all. People talk about Balotelli being unpredictable but this guy epitomised it. I remember reading this:

From when I first saw him sparkling as a teenager for Inter Milan I thought he was going to be a world class striker for years to come.

He peaked in that Euro 2012 semi final and within a year or two he was almost completely washed.
