Feel bad for GG sometimes because his reign was eclipsed by ArsĆØne in many ways but he was a fantastic manager in his own right and whenever Iā€™ve heard him speak I thought he was crazy smart.

Bring back the club suits I say!

But he was Arsenal through and through and got numerous trophies. Without his defence, Wenger doesnt win in 98. Our club is built different.

Also won us our last European trophy against a great Parma side who finished 5th in that stacked Serie a league (best league in the world until early 2000's).

The same Parma side next season would finish 3rd in the league and win the UEFA cup against Juventus who would then appear as major threats in the UCL (losing quite a lot of finals unfortunately).

Graham knew the difference between playing 'continental style' than playing vs English teams.

European Cup winners cup was a great cup, the winner would face the winner's of the European cup like today's 'Super cup'.

Really good documentary on the Aberdeen 1983 win on iPlayer.

Funnily enough the last time a non-Old Firm club won the SPL.

Arsenal Quotes

I often relive those 49 undefeated matches. I do believe in signs to a certain extent, and as I was born in 1949, I sometimes tell myself it was our destiny to lose the 50th. Those 49 matches are etched within me and within each player: it is something fundamental, a triumph born out of passion.
