Barclays Premiership, Highbury
Wednesday, May 11, 2005. Kick-off: 8:00pm

After easing past their Merseyside rivals, Arsenal entertain Everton on Wednesday, hoping to finally secure second place .

Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires both look likely to shrug off their injuries to play the blues, but Gilberto is out for this match. Some good news for the gunners is that Thierry Henry may feature for the gunners in a bid to get fit in time for the FA cup final. Sol Campbell may start but is unlikely to shift Phillipe Senderos out of the team .

Arsenal kick-started the season, by slaughtering Everton 1-4. Bergkamp, Reyes, Ljunberg and Robert Pires all managed to get on the scoresheet. Carsley scored their consolation goal . Arsenal would want a similar result on Wednesday .

I predict a 2-0 win for Arsenal .Reyes and Van Persie getting on the scoresheet for us .

Predicted Team :
Lehmann
Lauren Toure Senderos Cole
Fabregas Flamini Vieira Pires
Reyes Van Persie

Tight as you like 1-0, goal coming from a set piece

About time someone put away one of RVPs gorgeous deliveries

Arsenal Quotes

Right from his very first match, when Patrick Vieira was as yet unknown to the English public, he showed just how talented he was. No one disputed his ability, and he gave me the credibility and the hold over the club that I needed to take it in the direction I wanted. He and Emmanuel Petit became a duo that would remain forever etched in the memories of Arsenal fans.
