With him still at the club, at least until January, a potential discussion point has been over at least looking at him as some sort of cover for RB. Not sure where this comes from really because his recovery pace isn't great, and a player still needs a high level of concentration in that position. This all is before getting to technical abilities going forwards, all core to demands of a full-back in the PL nowadays, unlike maybe a decade ago.

Just a few appearances as backup CB in EL group stages and maybe domestic cups then.

The assigned stats say it all, he's certainly way faster than 64 because he's pretty quick. They should introduce a brain stat though and set it to 0.

Jokes aside, my point isn't that Mustafi is great, it's that we really underrate him as a salable asset

We're going to go through our annual defensive injury crisis and he's going to make an appearance for us at some point.

I'd rather we promote one of our youth Lad to take his place.

Emery might need to start padding his stats to make it look like he actually improved when he hasn't really.

E.g. If we're already 3-0 up by 60-70mins in some ****ty EL/Carabao cup game, one of our CBs pretends to be injured and we put Mustafi on. Then with some luck he might be able to get 20-30mins over a few games without conceding anything.

Then undoubtedly some ****ty newspaper or sports website will make an article about how Mustafi is actually underrated this season and has changed. Then come January, we sell him to some club who is desperate for a CB due to injuries in their squad.
