16. Aaron Ramsey
His name will now be etched into Arsenal folklore having been the man to score the FA Cup Final winning goal of 2013/14 against Hull City to end nine barren years of hurt for everyone connected with Arsenal.
The Welsh international has been through a lot in his 23 years, most notably a horrific broken leg suffered away at Stoke City in February 2010.
That said, the Aaron Ramsey story is one that indeed looks like having an incredibly positive middle chapter after bouncing back from that knock to become one of, if not the most important player on Arsenal’s team sheet right now.
We haven’t even mentioned the fact that Ramsey was once anything but a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium, often sloppily giving the ball away in key areas while rarely featuring on the scoresheet despite his midfield positioning.
Nowadays, it’s a different story with the former Cardiff City graduate having been named Arsenal’s player of the season at the tail end of 2013/14, scoring plenty of goals and going on to achieve revered global status.
