Well judging by our away form the last 2 seasons and the fact that most of our games are away I can see why we would be pessimistic.
Lost the same number of away games as Chelsea and Sp**s, the poor away form is a bit of an exaggeration

Xhaka has probably been our most important player this year aside from our strikers, we miss him badly.

But our team just plays worse away from home. The changes Emery made at half should have allowed us to outplay Everton, and we would have done with that lineup at the Emirates. But since we're on the road they all forget how to play together.

Part of the problem is the reliance on second half performances. Especially away.

Ramsey was fantastic for five minutes then absolutely gave up. His defensive awareness was shocking and he resumed Mkhi’s role of giving the ball away on counters.

Auba had like three touches. Laca went into hiding. Nacho and AMN were absolutely useless. Guendouzi did little but run around. Mkhi must’ve thought he had ten minutes every time he touched the ball.

I could go on. What was the point in Suarez? Surely he can offer something different.

Watford next they are better than Everton thankfully the midfield will be better and hopefully the players show some desire and fight

Everton were better than us today, simple as.
I am however optimistic that we'll get momentum back once Xhaka and Torreira is available. Today, the entire first half was just 45 wasted minutes due to our lack of presence in midfield.

Not going to jump the gun here. Chelsea is playing Liverpool next Sunday. If they lose that game and we win against Watford we're suddenly comfortable again. COYG

Maybe

You're wrong, no?
I've been here for 6 years. Never said he should be starting or you shouldn't have a better version of him. But someone like him. Like a Costa or Moussa Dembele someone that can bully defenders and hold it up to feet and in the air.

Today we were predictable, slow paced and afraid to go long. Hopefully something that is addressed in the long term.
The moment when we decided to add bully players to the team was the moment when everything went to sh*t. Now we are something in between physical working team and technical, but sh*t at both

Our records on the road is really appalling, even we only beat the worst team in the league Huddersfield by only one goal.

So many cries for Iwobi today when most wanted him replaced in the starting lineup. Also, charity FC at it again. Mustafi literally saw the flight of the ball and still let Jag get a flick on ahead of him. Rubbish defender. No movement from our players who must have thought Everton were gonna just roll over and give us the 3 points. Dont we learn? Teams always somehow raise their game against Arsenal just like referees suddenly become blind.

Givn up our advantage in the very first game. We can probably afford to lose one more but difficult to see us not dropping at least 7 points.

We were out muscled today, but we will learn from this.

Just have to remember it’s too much to ask for this team to show any sort of consistency with the quality we have. We’re always going to have days like this.

We have too many flaky, inconsistent players. When they play bad, they all drop a negative 1 out there. AMN, Mkhitaryan, Guendouzi, Kolasinac, Özil. Monreal got nutmegged like 7 times today.

Sokratis done well, as did Leno - the rest were ****. Mustafi is poverty and guys like Elneny and Maitland-Niles aren't much better.
Massive overhaul needed in the summer which will be even harder without top 4, and now I don't fancy our chances of achieving that.
Somebody on the Unai thread said we had equal second best squad in the league after City.

Missed Bellerin and Xhaka a lot today. We're without Papa for 2 games now, madness.
