Not actually sure what this means for Villa or where the majority of their backing came from this summer

It's great news. The guy is an absolute charlatan. Took us to within days of liquidation last season.
He's got money, but not very much of it. And where it came from and his past is very unclear.

Our new owners are Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens (NSWE Group)

our overseas members may not appreciate just how sad it is to see an old and once venerable club like Bolton Wanderers on the verge of disappearing

how many more will follow?

Whole lot more unfortunately.

I’ve thought for a while that the bubble would burst and this is it. When clubs get so dependent on being in the PL that being relegated risks them going into administration that’s no way to run a league.

There’s a day of reckoning coming for so many clubs it scares you who’ll be left in a few years.

I don't disagree with this, but it's strange to look at the number of clubs that have gone into administration in the past few years.

In the 6 or so years since FFP was introduced, Bolton and Bury are the only clubs to go into Administration.

In the 6 years prior to that, 23 clubs went into administration (some multiple times).

It might be false equivalency, but on the face of it it does kind of seem like things are getting better, despite Botlon and Bury's plight. Maybe it's just coincidence

or just start the PL in middle of august or late august instead of starting it early august and other big leagues start their league late August. it was always dumb idea closing the transfer window before the PL start meanwhile the other leagues have another 3 weeks to buy players.

Start it after the first international break.
