Mohamed Elneny: 2019/20 Performances

Think you're overrating Mo Elneny there. His biggest issue is that he has no forward passing ideas except once in 20 games. That won't fly in any league, unless you have Messi and you're playing 2 yard sideway passes to him

While it is clear he is nowhere near good enough to play for us, or any of the top 6 or 7 sides in this league, he isn't completely useless. His technical level isn't bad actually. He hardly loses the ball. His passing accuracy hovers over 92%, granted most of it is sideways. You don't need him to be the one solely tasked with doing that. His stamina is very good, his duels won stats aren't bad too. He is also a disciplined player, meaning whatever position you ask him to play in the midfield, he will hold that position. He can even produce in a less stronger league, in his last season at Basel, he had 6 goals and 2 assists in 28 appearances.

Sheesh, it looks like I'm praising El Neny too much. He is mediocre and way out of his depth here. That doesn't mean though that he couldn't hack it at Besiktas, they aren't exactly stocked with world class midfielders.

Denilson's pass accuracy is even better but that doesn't stop him from being a hip of s**t.

Mo offers absolutely nothing to the team. Can't attack, can't defend, can't create. He is a player that whenever he's on the pitch you get to wonder what exactly is his duty.

I see he really screened the defense in his game last night vs bratislava. 4 goals conceded. Ouch.
