That argument we're only so many points from being down there etc. is a tad stupid. After 8 games, there is not going to be a big difference anywhere in the table.
This is brought up to counter the frequent argument that we’re in 3rd so everything is awesome.

This works both ways. The table doesn’t mean a lot at this point.

And that we already played Liverpool Tottenham and United don't mean anything either ?

Even when we were running rampant in the first half - Bournemouth looked like they weren't even there - we still didn't many real chances which is a bit concerning.

The second half was hard to watch, ugly quality of football. 3 points is 3 points, very happy with that and where we are, but it is disheartening when every league game we play seems to be an absolute struggle. I hope the wins keep coming and some decent performances come with them sooner rather than later!

I know, we should be losing them like we used to not long ago.

When did we lose home games to the likes of Bouremouth really? We never did, even during Wengers last season, which was awful, we beat these types of teams with relative ease and actually played some decent football at times too.

Well we're carrying on the tradition then. Maybe if Emery is still here in 22 years, we'll be playing nicer football and winning by a few goals more too.

I don't even have to check to know that can't be true. Off the top of my head, a terrible Aston Villa embarassed us at the Emirates.

I think we are in a similar standing competitively to where we always have been. Maybe we can argue slightly better or worse in RELATION to our competition.

The difference is we play less attractively tactically , and that there is far more hope considering the youngsters coming in and the freshness of policy at the level higher than Coach.

Everything was incredibly predictable if people have already forgotten, at least our higher up policies are not so predictable anymore.

You mean like getting beaten by Aston Villa and West Ham on the first games of the season? Or Ostersunds in Wenger's last season?

If we had a good manager we could be challenging Liverpool right now. Watford, Sp**s and United draws need not have happened, you all know its true. Now we are third, but make no mistake, we are slightly less awfull than the teams below us. In a normal season we’d be 7th right now.

This is the biggest issue which many naive people do not see. A better coach would have at least 21 points and have some sort of challenge for the title, but we will fight with Leicester and the like for top four.

We have issue with the midfield and Özil is being frozen out of the squad. Our number one creative midfielder. Xhaka is constantly playing despite being obvious he cannot defender nor attack. Making him the captain when the fans are clearly against him was a complete **** move.

To be fair emery play a great hand there, knew xhaka was popular in the dressing room so let the players vote and guess who got the most votes, his favourite pet xhaka, cant deny he played it beautifully

Just a shame he plays a crap hand when it comes to playing football

Sheffield, Palace, Wolves, Leicester and Soton... let’s see how many points we get.
3 out of 5 home. Anything less than 12 points is a disaster. Against Leicester, I'll be very happy with a point, that's how good they are at the moment.

Wenger was a great manager in difficult circumstances who was hounded out by buffoons and lesser men. Many of them now turn on Emery because he's not Wenger. Loserville.
He created those difficult circumstances. He failed to sign necessary players to win the league but used the excuse of not able to compete with City and Chelsea financially. Then he lost the title, which we led in January, to Leicester City.

I would not go back to Wenger because his teams couldn't defend.

Emery is not only playing negative football (due to poor midfield selections... not tactically) but the defence is just as **** as Arsène.

We shall give Unai till end of the season and judge him.

Voting in itself is not right and creates bad culture. It's very easy to know the player the squad respect and look upto. What if Unai wants to change the captain, does he also set up another vote to remove the captain or select the next captain?

Selection of the captain is not just his influence in the dressing room but also on the field; the latter is which we have concern with.
