Because he's right footed meaning he has 1 less option to dribble. It's hard to cut in from the right when you are right footed. On the other side you have Aubameyang who can't dribble even if there is nobody near him yet Arteta sacrifices Gabby

I get that but he can go on the outside but never does which would Favour his right . Laca off Pepe on the right auba in the middle and nelli on the left please. Cabellos on too

Created enough to score 1 or 2, let down by Auba and Laca..

Poor half overall though, disappointing.

Aubameyang has been dreadful. Should have had 2 easy goals (one of which should have gotten Xhaka a brilliantly spotted assist) and Lacazette should have one.

Should switch Martinelli and Auba. All Auba can do is knock it past a player and run after it. And Martinelli is wasted on the right.

Would anyone sub Lacazette at halftime?
Yes. He's not holding it up and he doesn't have the pace to get on the end of certain passes so he's actually killed some attacks. But if we stick Auba through the middle, the attacks will have to start wide with Martinelli or Pepe who are better on the ball.

I fear, that Arteta will not drop players like Laca or Auba if they don't perform because of their big names.
He can't drop them, especially if he doesn't rate them. Their value would plummet. This way as bad as they both are on the ball, as long as their goal tally increases so does their worth.
