He is 21 years old, the "brain" you are talking about in the majority of 21 yr olds is still learning and devolping. There is a small % of elite 21 and under who have that already hence why they are elite. You cant really say at 21 if a player wont make it, all the evidence would suggest he is on the correct path to becoming a good maybe top player. Look at henderson at 21 and look at him now, at 21 he looked a ok player but now he is driving his team to a league title.
Henderson? Really... Liverpool midfield has no key player. They always rotate... And the most consistent player is Fabinho not Henderson. Keita, Henderson, Wilnajdun, Milner and Ox are constantly rotating the bench. Henderson is not driving anything

Henderson has never been an average midfielder, he's always been very high energy with powerful and explosive runs, relentless stamina, a huge range of passing and great crossing ability. The hardest working player in the prem according to Opta, not flamboyant but extremely solid and workmanlike. A player's player. All the coaches from Dalglish to Rodgers to Southgate have had nothing but praise for him and the players love him. Overturning that 3-0 v Barca, he was man of the match . . immense player.
I agre but a the other hand he is not the key player in Liverpool driving them. That's the beauty in Kloops job, he can play his midfield with any of his players. None is key, teamwork and system in his key.

Wow you two really got him bringing up net spend when he was obviously talking overall gross spend. At least Makingtrax does it on purpose, you on the other hand...

We haven't spent £300m in the last 18 months, gross spend or net spend. Lets have honesty in the discussion.

And if a club sells a player for £50m and buys a player for £50m, they've spent nothing that season.

Only the overall cost of the whole squad tells you what the club's investment has been in recent years. Gross spend is as meaningless as net spend in the short term. I keep explaining this on here but it's like banging your head against a brick wall. ****ing hate to be a teacher. :p

His ‘system’ is overrated. His system is Salah, Mane and Bugs ****ing Bunny. And VVD. That’s it.

Just watched highlights of the Brentford match. Same old individual errors, getting caught on the ball, giving the ball away.

This management lark must have looked so easy to Arteta at City. Imagine having players that have the quality to carry out what you want them to do?

Been looking at some of the highlights recently to see how the much less intense atmospheres affect the aspects of the game where players are likely to sh1t themselves, like in front of goal, the finishing appears more clinical from what I see; like training ground sort of stuff. It’ll be a leveller in this game.

Imagine signing some for £35m that could...

Wijnadum has been more important than Henderson.

In the Barca CL game at Anfield, Wijnadum was more instrumental in their come back imo

The reason why those managers praise him is due to his work ethic. He's not on the same level to some like prime Cesc or Bergamp. He's not the talisman of the team. He's easily replaceable. I remember earlier in the season when everyone was full of praise for Fabinho, but when he got injured Liverpool barely missed him.

Liverpool is well oiled machine. They play well regardless of who the manager picks. They completely turned over Barca at Anfield without their two best attackers FFS

Must admit I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about this one. It has that 8-2 United feel about it. Granted we've been more resilient defensively with Arteta, but this could be rather ugly.

What about Robertson and Arnold ? He uses them very well when Liverpool go all offensive and they make good contribution to their attack.Think that their midfield is kinda weak while they don't have players like Gerrard or Xabi Alonso anymore.

Would always chose Klopp's style of football over Pep's for Arsenal.
