Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: From Thriller To Bad, Should He Just Beat It?

He is declining. 200 goals in last 10 years counts for nothing when the age suddenly hits ya. His half ass attempt of crossing the ball at 80 minute was terrible. Sums him up in recent weeks.

Not going to lie man looked absolutely washed in the face today when they were doing close ups with the bags under his eyes and his hairline pushed back as he rocked the (for him) basic cut. Couple that with that jump for the header and the late “cross” and its all making him looking like he’s aged a ton since the ink dried.

Hope he snaps out of it and gets going again.

Henry and Auba are very different players in my opinion.. the one real big difference is Henry is strong as fu*K!!! people really underrated how strong he is, he could hold off anyone.. Auba doesn't have the same strength and he is not as fast as Henry either.

The thing they are similar in is their heading lol, they both are awful at headers, but apart from that there is not a lot similar. Auba is more of a poacher, a lot of his goals are kinda open goal types.

The thing is though Henry has much better players to play with too, he had Dennis Bergkamp for 95% of his time at Arsenal, Bergkamp was so smooth and crafty and could set Henry up with his eyes closed. There is very little creation for Auba now

He's an elite scorer, not taking that away from him...but have never seen him as "the guy" you turn to when things are going wrong, like we could with Henry or Van Persie for example, he just doesn't have that all round game that the top strikers have.
Obviously Henry is a better player than Auba.

Having said that, there wasn't much going wrong at Arsenal during his time here.

Also we just went through an entire season of Auba and inshallah.

Not to mention Henry was leader he won't accept this BS from players auba just not suited to be captain he look afraid to upset his teammate

How are you suddenly declining? He's simply not getting any service from this lacklustre side. You don't become a bad player overnight.

Özil stopped performing after signing his contract. Auba has done the same. Playing really well in the months leading up the contract extension for the playing level to drop many levels after signing it. Seen it all before. It’s nothing to do with service.

Thierry was a nasty prick too, which made a big difference on the pitch for him, Auba just seems like a nice guy really...we need some proper ****s in this team again!

Thierry was a rubbish captain tbh. Definitely wasn’t the reason why he’s remembered as the King around these parts.

Auba has pulled a rabbit out the hat plenty of times too, so that criticism is also unfair.

Ive said this many times, put who you want upfront, they are gonna look stupid regardless.

Cross to Henry twenty times every match, apart from the rare goals he starts from the halfway line he’d look a lot like Auba did today. Think the guy scored 2 or 3 headers in his entire time here, one was against Man Utd.

Well, you guys wanted Auba upfront you got it. When he’s not scoring and you’re not putting him in on goal, that’s what he looks like.

He’s not gonna hustle and bustle or make the most of every crappy ball like Laca does, that’s not his game - he’s Vardy.

He saw like twenty crosses sail over his head, course he got frustrated by the 80 min mark what did you want him to do.

I believe Auba actually scored more goals than Lewa in the air in his last couple of seasons before joining us. He absolutely used to be able to head the ball. They had players capable of crossing the ball and a cohesive attack at Dortmund though.

Vardy doesn't sulk though. Maybe it's because he's had to work harder than Auba to get where he is but he's a more determined player IMO.

Henry was also a much, much, much, much (I can't emphasise how much) more talented footballer. Aubameyang has top class movement, finishing and pace but Henry had that plus world class dribbling, creativity, set piece delivery, passing etc etc

The only reason they're compares is because they played for arsenal and wore the 14 shirt, same with Walcott

He absolutely does. Takes 20 touches or less per game and visibly sulks.

He’s so established in the team as well you couldn’t tell him to play wide left anymore. Auba does it with no complaints.

Anyways now Laca is out the picture it’s only natural you all move on to Auba out of frustration - he will eventually score again though. This isn’t his fault.
