If poor fitness was a problem( I doubt it) Arteta should still have played him and subbed him at the 60th minute or played him from the bench. Instead he tries to make it out like he has just been fit for the last two weeks, which is simply not true. Another lie from Arteta. There is no doubt that Arteta got lucky by being pretty much forced to play him.

This guy looks like a real unit with great physicality. I hope he can stay fit because he links so well with every player wherever he is. His first thought is to play forward and effect play. Even when he loses the ball, he's clever, cuts off passing lanes and waits for an opportunity to win it back. He like Saka has a very complete game and I'm delighted with him.
