Don't understand why we don't just tell players what they want to hear to sign the contract.

Grimandi ffs.

Sanogo gets a yes and Mbappe is a risk.
Can't believe he wouldn't have settled for the same opportunities Sanago has had here. Leading the attack V Bayern Munich at the Emirates, in the first leg of the last 16 KO stage... o_O

Who's to think he wouldn't be starting for us anyway. If this really was true, then Wenger has too much faith in his sons

League is very weak
He was at Stamford Bridge, close to signing for them a few years ago.

This is football, Ferguson turned down Henry after his brother watched Henry a few times etc.

Every club could've signed everyone.

According to Mercato365 in France, Arsenal, whose interest at the time was well documented, came very close to signing the Monaco prodigy, now one of the most sought after youngsters in Europe after his great breakthrough season with the principality club.

Scoring 19 goals and picking up 11 assists in 32 games this season in all competitions, the 18-year-old’s name has been mentioned alongside astronomical figures to acquire his services, yet Wenger could have apparently signed him before March last year for a ‘derisory sum’, when he finally signed his professional contract with Monaco.

The French website claim Arsenal were in ‘very advanced’ negotiations with the young forward, after Gilles Grimandi had spotted him, but the Premier League side allegedly backtracked, probably due to the player wanting guaranteed game time, which was the reason why talks between him and Monaco stalled for so long.

We were winning titles until we changed stadiums/had Chelsea and City win lotteries.

The discussion was a general one anyway about clubs and scouting/missing players, you didn't really contribute anything to that.
Yeah imagine other teams having the nerve to improve while we regress. Shame on them.

I did. They sign other great players. Most years. We've only signed 2 great players recently and sold great ones without really replacing them for a bit

I think first and foremost Monaco don't need to sell. They no longer need cash and are in with a chance of doing what Ajax did in 95 by winning the CL with a bunch of locally developed players.

Players like Mbappe are in the perfect place for their development. 21 - 23 is a good age to move to a bigger club (Ronaldinho, Kaka, Robben). 18 is too young. Mbappe has great players around him, a great coach, good contract, selection by the national team, and is in a side competing for the biggest trophies.

Anything else is agents trying to make money or big clubs trying to sign them just so nobody else can. It will be a big mistake to move now, especially to Real Madrid.

So Henry like I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out he's his son.

Proper baller, out of our league.
