Poch makes sense for Arsenal, would be a great appointment. But how exactly does Arsenal make sense for Poch? Literally the only reason is that he could continue working without leaving London. He's built up enough credit to land a job at a superclub, why would he go to a Europa League club?

Got something to prove now. Or whatever. At this point I don't really care what line we need to feed him, or how much we need to pay him, just get him in.

Has he really built up enough credit to land a job at a superclub? I'm not so sure. It's not like he's actually won anything. I think clubs such as Real Madrid would consider him, but whether they would pull the trigger, I'm not so sure.

Arsenal would be a situation where he could build something for the long term and win things that he couldn't win with Sp**s.

You look at the appointments of big/super clubs in recent years and you’ll say he matches well - Utd hired Moyes and Ole after Ferguson, Real Madrid have hired Lopetegui and Solari, Bayern gave Kovac a chance, PSG have hired Blanc, Emery, Tuchel in recent years.

Enrique got the Barcelona job on the back of a questionable track record.

The big pull towards Arsenal for Potch would be security and power. You’re not getting sacked, and he can probably stipulate control of transfers before he joins.

It is interesting you’ve had no leak or link which is attributed to Potch or his people rubbish any Arsenal links.

What are his chances of joining a superclub though? He has won zero trophies in his managerial career. Although Bayern, United, PSG etc., hold him in high regard, he will be competing for these jobs against managers whose CVs are loaded with trophies, like Simeone and Allegri. As such, there are no guarantees he will be appointed by any one of these teams. Bayern want Ten Hag or Tuchel, United/City will probably keep their managers for now, and PSG would probably want someone more established.

That being said, location is important. He and his team are all based in London, so by joining us he would save them and their families the upheaval of moving to another country with a different language and culture. Mourinho has effectively turned down the chance of joining a team like PSG or Madrid next summer - who we can probably all agree are bigger clubs than Sp**s - because he wanted to remain in London with his family.

He also wouldn't need to uproot his family or staff from London.

It is by all accounts something that would suit Poch down to the ground in terms of a job for right now.

Put it this way he either takes us now or he waits for someone else in the summer. He wont take any other job now.
