Feel his decline has mirrored how poor we’ve become creatively, there’s no decent attacking patterns anymore and no incisive passing.

Our midfielders aren’t really good at end product so outside of Özil there aren’t many options for unlocking defences.

I said in the summer we should have gone after Fekir. We could have got him and Ismailia Sarr for a combined 44M instead of Pepe and probably have been in a much better position than we are right now.

Would have had more money to chuck on other positions. 72M is looking a very irresponsible decision when it was clear we needed an Özil replacement.

Think this is the biggest problem , first touch amongst 3-4 players in the attacking 3rd is so inconsistent , team mates aren't sure what happens next , less encouragement to make runs into space as you don't know whether they'll actually find you.

Why not just do the same things he does whenever he's done well then? Just do what you did against Man Utd and the in the other game. He had the same teammates then. Nothing's changed. How long can we carry on saying his good days are down to him but his bad days are down to everyone else? It's absurd.

I'm referring to our team in general and needing better techincal ability in the final 3rd.

I wouldn't bring up on Özil debate on match day . their meant to be enjoyed

That is where I think Auba hurts us somewhat. He is a genius, but hurts our combinations.

An opposite example would be Benzema. Didn't score much (before this season) but incredible hold up player.

Problem is, if you cannot control a ball you will not pass the ball fast enough.

It is cringey to see the guys lofting the ball over the top while they can just whizz it into Özil for a much better opening.

Doesn’t work like that. Özil won’t push us forward but in terms of attacking patterns and interplay he’ll never hold a team back.

He’s declined a bit but put him in the Man City team for example and he would be just as good as anybody they have in terms of build up play.

Özil should be sold. He earns too much money than he does for us in the pitch. His time has finished

Picked if out for criticism before the game but he played well today.

Not that I think it's the sign of any long term improvement (just yet) as he routinely plays alright against teams that give him time and space like Newcastle did today.

Özil played excellent today. He’s a joy to watch and gives much needed life to our game. I hope Arteta continues to bring the old Özil who loves football more than fort nite out again.

He’s so effective when he’s actually playing well. You have that faith that every touch he gets will lead to something good.

First touch so reliable as is the decision making and pass execution.
