Some piss poor knee jerk reactions on this thread.

Terrible result today but the team performance wasn't too bad, definitely deserved at least a draw.

Saying we're not even Europa League quality is laughable
Not really, no:lol: We were knocked out of the Europa in the first knockout stage and we're not even in the position to qualify for it after 35 games and probably won't qualify full stop. Hardly laughable.

I think it could be more mental fatigue that physical fatigue. Why would our players not be fit enough. They had an entire 3 months to just train. Or where they sitting at home doing nothing?

Match fitness is more than just physical fitness, you can’t get that from blasting home gyms and running. You need specialised team sessions to build up fitness for later in the season.

Darren Burgess our former medical head said this:

Essentially there’s been a fair bit of research that shows that if you can build up players’ resilience to hard training, that the impact of a game becomes less and less because your body is accustomed to it.

“Hard work is the best form of injury prevention and injury protection. You should be slowly but deliberately building up people’s training tolerance because then, in December and January, when the games come thick and fast, the players are used to it.”

He left the club last summer so maybe there was a bit of turmoil in sorting out the fitness regime.

Jesus Christ, how early was that Luiz error?

I didn't see it, and I genuinely only missed about the first minute of the game

That music is just the best for these type of comps

Why would somebody make a compilation of them, who would watch it, why would they watch it?

Double Dusted

  1. Martinez-Did everything he could and looked devastated at the final whistle.
  2. Tierney-solid enough but looked less effective without Saka.
  3. Kola-rubbish. He cant defend and is only decent bombing forward unchecked to put rubbish crosses into the box. He cost us the game and a lot of energy.
  4. David Luiz-started poorly and sloppy. Otherwise just okay. Only saving grace is that he's not scared of the ball.
  5. Mustafi- looked okay early on but that 5 minute spell at the end is his real self. Pound for pound, the worst CB I've seen at Arsenal. Sell/ free gift,I don't care. Just get him out
  6. Bellerin-petvormsnces are getting better. Hes trusting his body gradually and looking fitter bit has zero chemistry with Pepe. Today he overlapped, but Pepe came inside do there was little interchange
  7. Ceballos-good performance. Ran the midfield. I'd gave hoped to have seen more of this and I'm now torn over the possibility of keeping him.
  8. Xhaka-didnt do anything wrong but slowed play unnecessarily at times
  9. Laca-fantastic goal and work ethic. He held the ball well but his zero pace and stamina is a problem
  10. Pepe-got more involved but just isn't effective enough. Lost the ball twice, put us in danger abd showed no urgency to retrieve the ball
  11. Auba-fluffed two chances which if converted wins us the match. He worked hard in defence but hes not complete and at times, that cost us.
Arteta got his subs wrong and was late with them but there's no accounting for individual errors. I hope this team is ripped apart as a bunch of better quality strangers would surely do a better job.

Can’t stop watching the Sonny goal, so good.

Called it before the game and the Korean bastard didn’t let me down.

How does a professional footballer even begin to fvcking explain that? They should be taken to Epping forest in an old transit van. This was always the way when your own fvcked you over.

Sp**s have a better best 11 than us...don't know why he is so surprised.
Goalkeepers are similar, we are better in fullback spots, I’ll give them CB, midfield we’re better, attack is similar.

You’re just talking crap as usual [Mod Edit: stop it]
