He'd had a club spending 10 times what Wenger had between 2004 and 2016 which made his 'specialist in failure' remark an insult. Our stupid fans believed him too.

Let's see how he gets in with a club spending 6th in the league for a change. Nowhere near the level of Wenger that's for sure.

The thing is tho apart from the Bayern smashing. I don't think Sp**s ever looked that uninspired under Pochettino. The bare minimum was a lot of energy. Now look at them, just so so dull. Ending in tears very soon and I don't know where that leaves them tbh. They either beg Pochettino to comeback or gamble on someone unproven.

Meanwhile AVB winning PSG 0-1 with Marseille, for the first time after 9 years. Got them 2. place and UCL last season.

Should have sacked Mou and got him back it seems, but I could see how that try would have ended up.

Sp**s were horrible under Potch at the end, remember them getting absolutely smashed 3-0 by Brighton in one of his last games and it could have been more...think in his last 12 months in charge their league form was relegation level, that was covered over with a very fluky Champions League run...man was done.
Personally, I think he was fine and he should have just been backed properly financially.

The squad grew stale and got bored of his voice, some fresh faces that Poch identified himself might have gone a long way I think.

Instead, they've ripped that all up and now have to give Mourinho money and pretty much start from scratch. Which is amusing for us! Letting Poch go was a big step backwards though in my opinion.

Just the way it was going for such a long period under Potch, I think it was over...he just didn't look the same.

Mourinho was a terrible choice though...ironically though I think one of the main reasons they appointed Jose so fast, is that Sp**s genuinely thought we would go for him, so they brought him in first

Can already see the fallout coming from a mile away.
His squad is about to be stretched with the fixture pile-up, they can't afford to invest in the squad and Mourinho won't like that.
He'll blame the fixture pile up before moving on to blaming his limited squad and claiming Levy hasn't backed him and brought in the players he wanted.
Can see him getting replaced by Eddie Howe. But can Sp**s afford to sack him if it really goes sour? He's on big money.

I can see them dropping 10 or 11 points from their first four league games.

Yes, I know they will still have 34 games left but that will already give them a fair-sized hill to climb for a Top Four place.

No club playing Winks in midfield and Dier at CB should be getting top 4 anyway. They'll be lucky to get Europa this season, even yesterday it looks like they gave up with 10 mins to go.

Sp**s fans genuinely believe this little gimp is better than peak Wilshere

Is this allowed now, disparaging remarks implying someone's disabled. To be honest I can't keep up with political correctness these days?
