Lets give the management of one of the biggest clubs in Europe to a man with zero experience and will learn on the job

Most of this forum - “ okay this could be fun “

terrible decision, in all honesty. Questioned it at the time and it’s still looking like we went with the cheapest option!

The lack of attacking patterns is what worries me most.

We have shape, great. We’ve needed it for a while, but that has to translate into progression when we have the ball.

Players don’t play off eachother, has been very much hit and hope.

No player in this team is capable of getting decent balls to the front line. There's your problem. Doesnt matter which formation you play and which players you use around it. We need a creative midfielder. People are thick if they don't think its the main problem.

Now Arteta changing formations to show you all how thick you are.

In periods players have shown glimpses off being good. Ceballos, Willock, Pepe all have done some nice things but it's not being stitched up. Beat a man with a bit of skill, poor cross, overturn the ball high up and we can't make 3 passes after it. Its so beyond poor.

Auba has been shocking.. So sloppy the few times he’s on the ball and barely making himself available..

He is getting bullied by the cb's, dont think he has won a single challenge yet. Not entirely his fault but he is hardly helping his case.

I just don’t understand... Surely we can’t be bad enough to put together something half decent? Truly baffled

we're beyond awful
It's not like we are defending well either. Poor finishing has kept us in this.
This has been the case under Arteta. We haven't improved defensively but because we throw everyone back to the edge of our box when the opponent has the ball people think we have improved.

We are defending like a school team, just ball watching. Our midfield is wide open even with 3 man in there. Our attack lacks everything, there is zero ball control.

These are the games were Özil would probably make a lot of difference. They are ultra attacking and throw loads of men forward.. One through ball and Auba/Pepe are through.. I didn’t see Willock trying that enough.. maybe Ceballos would..
