Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: From Thriller To Bad, Should He Just Beat It?

Reeling from Laca & Kos nightmares
Martinelli is 19 years old and just back from a long term injury he’s only going to get better from here. Auba is 31 and fell off a cliff after signing a massive contract. I would be more concerned about Auba sorting his **** out then a 19 year old who has played all of 3 games this season and impressed all the way.

Aubameyang didn’t fall off a cliff, Arteta doesn’t know how to build an attack. All our forwards have looked crap this season because it’s hopeless out there. If Auba can’t score then there’s something wrong with the game plan.

Martinelli hasn’t even been that good just running around more, he will struggle too with Artetaball.

Arguably in life it is easy to destroy something than create it. Hence its easier to destroy another teams attack than create ours.

It's not like he's trying to destroy our attack, more like trying to build an attack on a house of cards. One piece out of place and you start from the bottom. Hence our useless possession stats among the back 5.

I've not seen someone perform like this after a knee injury so he's definitely a freak.
See that level you’re at when your friend has been talking sh*t all week and you’re ready to shut them up on the pitch or when you’re playing a five a side game and the losing team has to pay for the pitch.

He seems to play at that level all the time. He’s our new Alexis.

Martinelli got dropped by Arteta.

Are people still going with that lack of service excuse?

His level’s dropped since he’s signed his contract. He’s been at 90% of his usual self. Pulling out of 50-50’s, less intense pressing, losing that extra yard of pace etc. Makes all the difference.

I can’t be the only one to have seen it. But he has to start because he’s the captain and the star man.

Next few games will be a big character test for Auba. He seems to be really frustrated because everyones forme is picking up, but he can't seem to buy a goal. If he just puts his head down he will improve again, but if he sulks around like at the end of the game then he can stay on the bench.

People need to chill could have had two today. All strikers go through lean spells, could've had two today, can tell he's desperate for a goal. If we continue playing like this as a team it's only a matter of time when he finds his form.

Looked absolutely heartbroken after missed a chance in the 85th minute or so. Stomping around the pitch just sulking and sighing.

He's not as important to the team anymore, when's the last time he scored a meaningful goal?

Up 4-0 and on a run of three wins in a row yet he’s out there visibly frustrated with his teammates...and the man is captain? Trash behavior.

Yeah, I was furious how after he missed his chance late in the seconde half he just stoped moving for a few minutes. Needs to cut it out asap. But I'm still hopefull he'll turn it around.

Got plenty of patience for him, but the way his sulking is just poor.

Dont really see much of a difference with Auba tbh, he was unlucky not to score against Brighton, and on another day gets a toe on the Saka cross today.

Hes always been a player that's required service, and on the whole we've been dreadful on that front this season. How many big chances has he actually got? You can count them on one hand.

Mad the disrespect this guy gets these days, blokes been our only genuine top player for years now and has carried the club on his back.

Imo he’s not in our best XI. Martinelli does more and Laca is by far the superior no. 9, at least in current form. Also, a bit annoyed by his demeanor when were winning 4-0. I get that he’s frustrated but get a grip dude.

He’ll start scoring again soon, wouldn’t be worried about that. Just hope people now see that all would not be lost without him.

Absolutely convinced we play better football without him in the side. Got a sneaky suspicion he might be off this transfer window.
