Fabregas moving to Mourinho's Chelsea broke Arsène's heart, for that there should be some backlash at least from Arsenal fans toward him...and that's coming from someone who worshipped Cesc as I was growing up.

Arsène can claim it's all water under the bridge with Jose, but some of the things Mourinho did crossed the line, even Arsène v Ferguson never got to that disgusting level.

Honestly, **** Jose Mourinho...wish Arsène battered him when he got the chance.

We signed Xhaka for the same money and Wenger basically said look where he ended up and make up your own mind. Doesn't add up to me.

You say that like once we showed up to Leicester with the money Kante should have just chose us? Chelsea are way richer than us if we went in for him with 35 mil they would just pay 45 mil like they did with Mata.

fabregas was offered to Arsenal first due to our first refusal clause. but Arsène decided not to take him.

Think that would’ve been a nightmare. Giroud, Debuchy and Koscielny missed over three months that season and we would’ve really struggled to put a team out.

You’re looking at Sanogo, Monreal at CB and Semi Ajayi starting for nearly four months so that title challenge still doesn’t happen.

Yeah I remember Sp*rs absolutely embarrassing him as a CM when they got beaten 5-3 so Mourinho had to start playing him as an AM and his productivity took a slight hit in the latter part of the season.

Then the next two years he was done at the top level, was a liability in the midfield.
Maybe but we didn't know that they all would have got injured. It's all speculation but if we signed Özil, won the FA Cup and followed that up with Fabregas and Alexis the momentum would have been unreal.

Lost a sausage bet on Xhaka 😭
Fabregas himself has said that Arsenal turned down the chance to sign him. Why the need to rewrite history to make him look bad? We didn’t want him so he went elsewhere that’s all there is to it.

When a player has a choice between a team and a better team, it's obvious who he will pick, don't care what has been said.

Like the Ramsey stuff, don't care what Aaron and the club say...no ****ing way Arsenal took a contract of the table for a player as important as Rambo, only for him then to sign a salary doubling deal with Juventus and to play with the like of Ronaldo in the Champions League...makes no ****ing sense

Think in certain situations, like this one, clubs are just trying to save face.

Doubt it. Ramsey was garbage and toast. Juve's dealings post Marrotta have been questionable leading this strange state they're in now.

Amazing player, no denying that but when your a part of Arsenal, the club captain no less, and your only too happy to let someone chuck a Barca shirt on you and refuse to train to force a move then I don't care what you've done for the last 5-6 years, which to be fair didn't amount to much with regards to silverware.

Someone like Henry, who had been a huge part of years of success and history, was getting older, fancied a change and left with class.
Yeah, but if you replace viera with denilson and ljungbertg with walcott, lehmann with almunia etc. Not sure he would have stayed that long nor left with class. Very different scenarios. If you see a fabregas playing for a barely top4 team and be there for 8 years, you surely would've thought he should move on. His childish behaviour how he went about it do sucks though.

Cesc was always going to leave I think, especially to Barca. The way he went about forcing the move was disrespectful to both Wenger and the fans, end of story.

Wish this guy would shut the **** up. Why not just ring Wenger and chat to him if it matters so much? He’s always crying on social media.

You left Arsenal, you went on strike, you chose to join Chelsea, move on.

He was calling Mourinho a father figure not long ago. How many father figures do you need? He’s got his own father too.

Did he say something recently?

It wasn't the fee but the wages that lost us Kante by all accounts.

Actually, we were in front of the queue. It was was reticence to meet Kante's agent demand that scuppered the move.

If we'd paid that few extra millions, our CM would have been sorted. Instead we ended up spending an additional 30m on Torreira and 8 million on guendouzi.

The decision to sign Xhaka cost us more in the long term.

Wenger said "He landed where he wanted to land".

He was never coming back.
