Unless Wenger plans to sell we definately don't need forwards.

Henry, Reyes (With Roiscky I feel Reyes will revert to a striker where he's best), Van Persie, Adebayor, Walcott, Lupoli, Bendtner

I love Chivu and have expressed it many times within A-M. But I thought that I remembered from last summer that you (Leonardo) felt he was a step slow when at Ajax. Am I misremembering?
do you want to know whether he's slow, cause if you have to ask a question like that, your expertise doesn't seem to be very trustworthy

Andrade, that's a name from a season or two ago. Quality player.

As ever, I like Chivu but fail to see the big fuss.
Must confess I hardly saw him play recently, but a Portugese friend of mine, who nearly always is right about players, said he still would be a good signing.

Chivu would always top the list of central defenders for me. He would fit Arsenal's style perfectly and IMHO is just as good or better than Cole at LB. Therefore, I would buy him with the money that we get for Cole. Then I would split LB between Clichy and Chivu and split CB between Senderos and Chivu.

What is the big fuss about Chivu? He has the positional awareness of a great central defender. He has the technical skills of a top playmaker. He has the leadership of a top club/country captain. He has the shooting abilities of a top fee kick specialist. He has the versatility to play multiple positions.

I agree and his strenght are those that are most easily adapted to playing with either Phil or Kolo, aka his passing and positioning can be usefull with both Kolo's speed and Phil's aerial and force way of play.

I don't want to see Cole leave but if he stays I really think that CLichy would want to seek first team experience elsewhere and then we have both Chivu and Flam to cover LB and maybe Hoyte.

Ribery and Torres and we are unbeatable next season.

Only problem: Ribery wants to go to Lyon and Torres will be expensive. But why not once in a while spend some heavy money mr. wenger? Now the new stadium is completed!

Well, as said in that article on eurosport.fr it will be published tomorrow in Le Parisien. So we will definitely know tomorrow.

1 of Chivu, Lucio or Andrade (in order of preference).

I was responding to Leonardo who expressed last year that Chivu was too slow when at Ajax a few years ago. Yet in his post above he expressed that Chivu would be great for us. I wanted to confirm this, as I might not have remembered his old Chivu posts correctly.

I have seen Chivu play numerous times and have never been concerned about his pace. He is faster than Phil and slower than Kolo.

To many of you this may sound stupid, but i would love to see us sign bellamy. I know liverpool are being linked with him, but i think he is a quality player. He has great tenacity, as well as wonderful speed and finishing ability.

He is also very much a team player, who like Henry will look to find a player in a better position before shooting. He apparently has a buy-out cluase of 6 million pounds, which i believe is an absolute steal!

The best attribute of his is the fact that he likes to get in behind the defenders. RVP does not like to do this, nor does adebayor...and neither of these players have the speed. reyes does, but tends to drift out to wide. The point is players like hleb, cesc, reyes and rosicky love to put through balls to players getting in behind the defence, and in my opinion bellemy is absolutely brilliant at this.

He could partner any of our strikers and is a real goal scoring threat. If liverpool get him, i believe he will certainly prove himself there to be a top striker.

Ninja7 - Babic is not really a defender, he's more ML or even CM. As for Robert Kovac, he is unfortunately too old or Wenger to sign him.

I got the impression he was 100% against Lyon move!! It probably isn't true.

it's Marseille that's against a Lyon move, not Ribery.

so Marseille will make him expensive for Lyon
