Andriy Yarmolenko of Dynamo Kyiv has caught my eye recently.

11 goals in 17 League games is good numbers to get you notice from the more important Leagues. I see him more as wide forward then central.

From the Guardian

"Ukraine coach Oleg Blokhin recognises Shevchenko is no longer a cornerstone of the team," said the Ukrainian journalist Oleksandr Sereda. "He is still a leader but there are young players ready to take their place." That includes 22-year-old Andriy Yarmolenko, also of Dynamo Kyiv, who scored against Germany. "He is the most talented young player in Ukraine right now," Sereda said. "He can make the difference."

Nice scoring ratio, good age with international caps, great physique. He's definitely an interesting prospect.

Have him in my squad on FIFA 12. Tidy player

That said he's looked decent for Montpellier. As well as Giroud.

On the front page of Corriere dello Sport Jovetic says this: “Fiorentina, I want to be your Totti”.

He did Floating but i'm sure he'd be tempted to move to a bigger club. Fiorentina have decent attacking options and might be willing to sell

Anyone think Odemwingie might be ideal? Good scoring rate in the PL, can play up front and wide and might be cheap too. Hasnt been starting lately either.

He had a great season last year, but hasn't been able to recreate that form at all — hasn't even been starting for West Brom, so I wouldn't exactly be dying to bring him here.

Would be great to clear out all the deadwood

Out - Almunia, Flappy, Diaby, Rosicky, Denilson, Lansbury, Ben, Arshavin, Chamakh, Vela, Bendtner

In - Goetze, Hazard, Campbell, 2nd choice Gk

Gk - Wojciech, Gk
Def - Gibbs, Santos, Per, TV, LK, Sagna, Jenks
DM - Song, Coqs, Frimmers
CMs - Jack, Aaron, Arteta, Goetze
Wings - Gervinho, Walclott, Hazard, Chambo - Goetze
Fwd - Rvp, Park, Campbell - Walcott

He's had a falling out with Hodgson apparently. Hodgson basically questioned his attitude because he wasn't overcoming his injury. Wouldn't mind a cheeky loan bid tbh if we're not going to sign a proper alternative for RvP.

@ hesham

I think we all have a similar idea to yours but as i've said elsewhere i think losing Rosicky and Diaby without anyone coming in isn't a good idea. Apart from Arteta and Song (who's only 24/25) we would be relying on a midfield under the age of 21. I'd be a lot more comfortable if we just brought in one decent squad player who could offer some sort of guidance in there. Speaking of WBA players, Mulumbu wouldn't be a bad choice imo.

Like you said AfS, we have Arteta & Song as experienced midfielders, also in other areas I think we have enough xp with TV, Mert, RvP, Sagna etc.. I wouldn't be against keeping say Rosicky for 1 more year but its about everyone getting game time aswell

Reus IN - Arshavin OUT
Podolski IN - Chamakh OUT

And we should offload the usual ****: Squilshit, Denilwhut, 'Better than Messi' Bendnter, etc. etc.

I don't think Götze is really needed. I would choose this two over him, with Wilshere coming back in January we already have three top CM's.

Seems realistic to me. The top 4 is now within our grasp, we need desperately that extra boost like when Arshavin came to us in 2009, to secure it and make some succes in the FA Cup.

Just read that Anelka handed in a transfer request today. Would possibly be a good shout in January as I don't think many players we actually want will be available.

Can play our style and can score goals. Might be worth a punt!

I've seen a few slag him off but i wouldn't be terribly against it i must say. His contract is up too isn'it - so i presume only a minimal transfer fee will be needed.

We've been linked to Pato apparently. Depends on the price but above £15 million and I'll be very reluctant.

?? talent wise he's worth triple 15 million!! it's his injuries that are the worry.

Err, he's not.

have you seen him play? If Aguero's a snip at 35m (he is for the record), Pato would be a snip at anything less. I rate both on a similar level although different types of forward.
