Just thought it would be interesting to see how this season compares to last season in terms of points tally across games against each team, and whether we're ahead or behind where we were based on last season's results. For each fixture last season's result will be followed by this season's result, after which difference in results will be recorded.

Note for the purpose of this thread it is assumed that Newcastle=Hull, Brighton=Middlesbrough and Huddersfield=Sunderland, as the relegated teams from last season are replaced by promoted teams for this season.

Leicester (H). 1-0 vs 4-3 +0 pts, +0GD, +3GS

Stoke (A). 1-4 vs 1-0 -3 pts, -4GD, -4GS

OK, so I've updated the thread again. If we can beat Everton next week we're back on par for last season's tally again, so I suppose it's not all doom and gloom.

That said, I'm just pissed off now and tomorrow I'm going to try and forget this ever happened. Night folks.

Par result today, next two games we have a great chance to gain on last season which we probably won't capitalise on unfortunately--prove me wrong Arsenal!

After that loss today, we've dropped points from last season for the first time since Watford away. The opportunity for us to gain points will come in the Liverpool, Crystal Palace and West Brom games.

We're now 3 points behind last season...if we don't beat West Ham the media will start talking about a crisis again.

It looks like the next five games will decide our season. We should be able to beat last season's efforts, but if not we definitely won't be in the top 4 this year.

Arsenal Quotes

In June 1996, David Dein, Peter Hill-Wood and Danny Fiszman came out to Nagoya to meet me on behalf of Arsenal. Within an hour we came to an agreement. The Japanese directors didn't try to keep hold of me in the usual way but talked with persuasive arguments... But as far as I was concerned, the decision was taken. Arsenal. A decision that would change my life.
