Thought we could use a new thread now that he's back.

Two games now and both good performances. Looks very sharp and was easily the best player vs Burnley. He's the key to us being able to secure the title I think. Özil is of course incredibly important as well, but Alexis is a game winner and we've been missing that.

He's going to win us games on his own now, he'll take the pressure off Özil and wreak havoc.

His freekick was a beauty, you know Alexis is back when his freekicks are good.

Looked like the rest did him good and he's come back in time for this stretch of games. Wenger now has to manage his fitness well.

I'm especially liking how much more decisive he is in the opponents half and is doing much less faffing about when dropping deep.

Outstanding performance, was a great drive in our attack.

Pushed forward often, played a lovely assist to Chambers while under pressure by three Burnley players. Great freekick. Took his goal well, simple yet you knew that once he was on the ball it was going in. Happy he was subbed off because it means we'll be seeing more at Southampton!

It is so nice having a reliable attacker in the team, so tired of misfiring Walcott, bad-when-not-feeling-it Giroud, unconfident Chamberlain, and good-but-not-setting-the-world-alight-yet Campbell.

Thread title says it all really, now that Giroud has slowed down again and Theo has seemingly fallen off a cliff we'll need Alexis at his best if we want to stay in the title race. Promising signs so far thankfully.

The most important player in the team. Well, alongside Coquelin. And Özil. And Cech. And Kosicelny... Though don't underestimate the importance of a good DM. It's not only vital for the defenders but also helps the attackers blossom.

Forgot what a world class forward looked like, just a level above. Perfect timing as well, Özil couldn't keep his god mode up for much longer.

Oh man, how much we've missed this guy.
As @blaze_of_glory said; Özil is incredibly important but Alexis is a game changer, unstoppable at times and just makes things happen.
His work rate is also such an asset, 110% all game, every game!

Nice thread title

Sorely needed which is unexpected, but it's a little depressing how much less dangerous we look without Alexis, it's not simply about skill, we look less ambitious when he's not playing and that shouldn't be the case imo

Will we finally see on form Özil and Alexis playing together for a prolonged period!? Think it could bring out the best in the team as the opposition won't be able to just focus on one of them which gives them more space to work their magic!

We're quite simply not much to write home about without him. We can get by without others, but not without this man.
