usually, the rating threads are fun, but really inconsequential and without much meaning. however, top class players are, imo, characterized by two things: consistency and the ability to step up in big matches. against the best sides in the world. perhaps it is knee jerk, but this match was very telling in terms of ability. some players clearly flatters to deceive in matches against lesser sides...

Song and Diaby worst players of the game for me. Diaby was giving possession throughout the game and was his old self ; took ages to control and pass the ball. Song looked like a joker for the 2 goals, absolute parody of the Arsenal Back 5.

Vermaelen 5 Minded the store, but got caught out on the 2nd goal.

Diaby 3 Really disappointing. Hope he learned something.
Fabregas 5 A nightmare but he never gave up after his yellow. Brilliant penalty
