How can they say Pedro sending off turned the game, we were the better team for the most part, their goal was fortunate coming from a poor clearance skywards, most of their tactic involved ball in the air, Pedro is like 5ft nothing, how would He have stopped 7ft Kolossus from heading for goal?

Arsenal V Chelsea has to be one of the highest red card game matches.

Off the top of my head:

Gibbs for Ox's handball
Cazorla double foul
Paulista kicks Costa
Mertesacker tackles the last man
Moses dives
Pedro studs tackle

Anything else?

good result considering the personnel missing including our best defender and best overall player.
it was gibbo who was sent off for chamberlains handball, having flash backs of what an atrocious game that was to witness

Horror challenge, could've snapped his achilles. He was as guilty as they come, faked cramp knowing what was coming.

Never gets boring beating Chelski. They always seem so demoralised afterwards. It's beautiful.
The smarmy look on his face when he left the pitch too. love to be a fly on the wall when he realises a couple of games ban in front of him!

On another note, during Theo Walcotts short cameo its quite clear that he doesn't fit or have a role in this new formation. He does have a tendency to drift into a more central attacking position lately even though he does more damage from being slipped in outwide due to the change in formation.

I think we should get rid as soon as we can and bring in Mahrez.

Listened to the game on radio and just finished watching the highlights. Funny to see the Willian penalty shout after listening to Chris Sutton on BBC saying it was a stonewall penalty... If that is a penalty then every touch in the penalty area is one. Don't necessarily think he dived though. And Pedro's red card. ****ing h**l. Doesn't get much more red than that. Final comment. Worst penalty kick since old Beckham courtesy Courtois.

Unfortunately as far as I understand he won't serve any ban for that red. The Charity Shield is treated as just it's own entity and not related to the other competitions. Hence why Koscielny could have played today. Pedro won't get any further punishment.

Pretty dangerous when you think about it, if you have a player with a grudge. That player could go and do some serious damage to another without any retribution other than going off for that game
