Youngsters playing in the League cup was one of the very few positives about this Arsenal season.

Very unfortunate, was pretty confident we’ll win this when I saw the line-ups.

Ceballos, his penalty was saved. It was weak and underhit like all his other passes.

Ceballos was a bad signing. If people had ever watched him at Real, they would know that.

Yeah, I think Emery wanted someone to translate for him.

Both Ceballos and Guendouzi were about to walk straight off without going to our away end. Tierney was trying to tell them not to.

Personally, I’d hand the captaincy to Kieran Tierney imo. We need more players like him in our squad. The lad is a tough Scot, leader and he’d set an example for the rest of squad.

Hand the captaincy to a player that has played about 4 games for us, christ

This is pretty much Liverpool's B team. They really havent got that much depth in their squad.

Which player was missing from their lineup who didn't play at the weekend? Can't think of any

All right, let Xhaka keep it because he's played tonnes for us.

Watching the game this morning, that was so disappointing.

The positives though, Özil showed his worth despite only getting 50-60 minutes, Martinelli showed he is a future top player... Again. Willock scored a blinder aswell, not to mention it could be a blessing in disguise, this puts more pressure on Emery now aswell, even closer to the sack hopefully.

He struck it fine. Keeper guessed the right way and it was at a save-able height.

Nope, if it was hit harder then it would've gone before the keeper could do anything. Weak. Either piledrive it into the net or place it in the corner. Don't send it at a saveable height and speed.

That's irrelevant. In recent years, the captaincy at our club has been passed around like a hooker at the red light district.

Tierney has captained both Celtic and the Scotland national team just like Xhaka has done for his national team. The difference between the two is that Tierney seems a lot more committed, professional and has leadership qualities imo plus he's a guaranteed starter, Xhaka shouldn't be.

Arsenal haven't been able to defend properly for a decade or more so I suppose there was no reason to think we would last night. We just don't have it in us. I don't know how it can be fixed, really. Maybe we should hire the world's most defensive manager, whoever that is.

FFS, two nil up after 12 mins v palace, two goals ahead twice here with a stronger line up, we should be bouncing right now and would be if we had a decent manager in charge, piss poor
