Thatis fine Ricky but the fact that the teams that have been successful have adapted shows us the way forward. You cannot have a one type of philosophy or tactic fits all. We needed to amend our strategy in these type of games and we have proved unable or unwilling to that. We will continue to lose most of these type of games whilst we fail to open ourselves up to change.

A big part of why we came so close in 07/08 was because we had true variation in our play. We seemed to be on the right path earlier this season but since then the same weaknesses that tend to haunt us have reappeared.

It makes me laugh when people say he is a better RB than Sagna.

He does provide penetration from the wing but he does very little with the ball in the final third.

His runs pull players..and somtimes that is good enough..he doesnt have to to the byline and provide the final product, he just has to create attention of at least one or two defenders and that he does. He also does well with ball retention and overally passing. Sagna is solid defensively and thats it. I am not *****in about him or suggesting Eboue to start for Sagna..but there are games where Eboue is needed (unfortunately when we have gone down and need more attacking threat). He is also a much better crosser than Sagna.

Dribblers are under rated. The best thing about them is that they attract defenders or at least give them something to think about which can be the key to opening up defenses.
