The first NLD of the season comes in the league cup. Spuds have been performing to their usual standard of averageness, whilst we've suffered two disappointing defeats. Admittedly the Capital One Cup is of reduced importance, but it's a derby, so of course we want to win... not only win, but absolutely smash them.

I think more first team players will be used due to injury, plus this is a game we could really do without losing. Hopefully we take our chances, as historically we tend to concede in this fixture. Fancy us to win, Giroud with a brace, Özil and Ramsey with goals too.

Can't be going crazy changing the team around too much. We all saw how that turned out against Zagreb. Go out with close to our first strength and get some momentum going again. Can't be losing 3 games in a row going into a very tricky game away at Leicester.

Would of minded going out early, but not to them.

Is Iwobi actually promising? I'd let him and Campbell start then let them though that a good performance could get them a run in the team

Agreed. I think he'll play close to our strongest team - a loss at WHL would really be bad for morale after yesterday and Zagreb.

Doesn't matter if we're playing Sp**s nobody will remember this game in a few weeks. It's at our first stage in the tournament too. Wenger made heavy rotation the last time we played Sp**s in this competition at a similar stage and I expect the same.
