Because while it is a trophy winning the FA cup doesnt help to built for next season. It doesnt lure players nor provide financial rewards whereas getting into champions league enables the club to attract better players and provide more money. Unfortunately that is what is needed for the club to go forward. We won FA cups in the past and we went backwards.

People bang on about Wenger and top 4 but he didnt use that to the clubs advantage. Signing mediocre players and dilly dallying over a million here and a million there.

Arteta would maybe learn from that.

So while the FA cup is something its just not a priority or enough. Like you being in debt of £1000 and having the chance to win £20 quid in a free raffle. It's a bonus but not enough.

We ain't getting top four though so fa cup is the most exciting thing left for us this season

I agree. However we arent winning the FA cup either. And even if we did it would only mask what a terrible season it has been and give the club something to say oh look we won something so we dont have as many problems as the fans think.

Same thing happened against Hull, Villa and Chelsea. Papered over the cracks and gave the manager and the board the chance to tell the fans to shut up and stop complaining because we had won something even though we all seen the way the club was going.

Why people not bothered about this? It's last chance to win trophy this season and for a season what it has been disaster winning a trophy would be positive end.
I can only speak for my self... And I have zero beliefe we will win it. Its just postponing the inevitable, should we manage to beat this amateur side. Right now my glass is half empty, and im tired of being disappointed... Yeah, I know boohoo, man up and all that... but nah...

****ing bang on post. Sorry, FA cup is nice I guess but we’ve won it enough already. What elite club in Europe gloats about their domestic cup hauls?

play the kids or the ladies and just move on and focus on PL ffs

Most likely if we heavily rotate. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lacazette and Özil start though with AMN in a ditch somewhere.
I'm expecting something a bit like this but I'm not sure Holding will start. He looked terrible on Friday and needs a bit more time. Think we'll see AMN and Nelson though, especially as AMN got some game time at LB so he may fill in there until Tierney is fit.

Really want to see that front line though, and hopefully Willock can get a good 90 mins under his belt, he needs a lot more football to iron out his game.

We used to have marching bands at half time. Now we have people falling off cliffs trying to take selfies.

Would have liked he start tomorrow looks like too early for that. Any words about Mari?
‘Yes, I think he (Mari) need minutes, like Rob did, like Ainsley and like Reiss as well,’ confirmed Arteta at his pre-match press conference. ‘I think it was a good game for them to get their fitness levels tested as well and they trained today really well. They are all, I think, ready to play.’

What about my boy Cedric? Will he be ready to play in the EL final if Bellerin gets injured?

I think we will rotate some but not too much because we had no game at the weekend.

I would like to see:

Martinez

AMN Sokratis Luiz Mustafi/LV

Willock Torreira Guendouzi

Pepe Lacazette Martinelli

But I think Arteta will rotate less.
