The porbable line-up for Ajax:

Stekelenburg (Lobont);
Obodai (Grygera), Heitinga, De Jong (Escude), Maxwell;
Sneijder (Pienaar), Galasek, Van der Vaart;
De Ridder (De Mul), Ibrahimovic en Mitea

For those watching, this is a very young and talented squad.
I don't think Obodai is good enough, that is definitly there weak place.
Stekelenburg: the Dutch Stuart Taylor, gets a chance to prove himself.
They are still trying to sell Lobont
Heitinga and De Jong, 2 vey talented youngsters, De jong is actualy a RB, but played at CB tonight
Maxell, Sneijder, Galasek and VDV Don't need explenation, nor does Ibrahimovic.
De Ridder still is a doubt, young Belgian winger De Mul might get a chance, but apparently he was useless against the greek.
Mitea (rumoured to be on his way as replacement for Ryan Giggs) is a young and very fast little Overmars style winger, look out for him!

Have a good match, I'm going te be watching this one from inside the Arena!

I expect this formation:

--------------------------Stekelenburg--------------------------
-----------------------------(Vonk)-------------------------------

-----de Jong--------------Heitinga---------------Maxwell-----
----(Grygera)---------- (Vermaelen)------------(Escudé)---

----------------------Galásek(Obodai)--------------------------

----Pienaar------------van der Vaart------------Sneijder----
--(de Ridder)-----------(Lindgren)---------------(Sikora)-----

---de Mul----------------Ibrahimovic------------------Mitea---
-(Anastasiou)-------------(Sonck)----------------(Soetaers)-

Or:

--------------------------Stekelenburg--------------------------
-----------------------------(Vonk)-------------------------------

-de Jong---------Heitinga----------Escudé--------Maxwell-
(Grygera)------(Vermaelen)------(Maduro)-(Emanuelson)

--------------------Sneijder---------Galásek-------------------
--------------------(Obodai)-----(van der Vaart)-------------
-----------------(Rustuledda)-----------------------------------

----de Mul---------------------------------------------Mitea----
--(de Ridder)------------------------------------(Soetaers)--

-----------------Ibrahimovic---------Sonck--------------------
----------------(Anastasiou)-------(Sangoy)-----------------

Really hope that Sangoy and Rustulleda will get some play-time too. Very talented youngsters from Boca that recently joined Ajax.

Obodai is definitely good enough, proved himself in the last 3 matches of last season, and Ajax's defense fell apart after Obodai's got substituted for de Ridder, it's good for Galásek to have someone like Obodai behind, next or in front of him...

Hopefully we'll win with a 3 goal margin and take the trophy home !!

Anyone think the euro boys will start tonight ?

I dont know, Reyes & Van Persie did look tired the other night in my opinion. So maybe a few of the Euro players might play, apaprt from the injured Campbell & Henry.

I reckon it will be a draw.

I reckon the lineup will look something like this then:

Lehmann

Cole
Toure
Senderos
Lauren

Pires
Gilberto
Flamini
Ljungberg

Bergkamp
v.Persie

I doubt we'll see Reyes start as he's played a hell of alot of pre season games already.

This should be a much better game. I'm looking forward to seeing Ajax play. They were really dull and defensive when we played them a couple of seasons ago in the CL but with the likes of van der Vaart, Imbrahimovic, Sneijder, Mitea, de Ridder and Sonck they will really attack us tonight.

This is what I think our line up will be tonight:

Lehmann

Lauren/Fahti
Toure
Senderos
Cole

Ljungberg
Gilberto
Flamini
Pires

Reyes
Bergkamp

Henry IV

I remember when we played Ajax in the ECL in February 2003 and we looked so one-dimensional, laborious and predictable in both games.

i thought they were the only ones who played well.
reyes was announced as man of the match in the end and i think he played well on the left wing. van persie ran a lot and did a lot of work but just didn't get a good chance to score because of lack of support from midfield.
before the match i was very critical about van persie, but i just couldn't stand these yiddo's booing him. so i tried to support him a little bit, in my rotterdam-accent, which was quite funny cause i were sitting in the f-side, where the 'passionate' ajax fans are sitting. some of m got a little angry :) i really hope van persie will succeed at arsenal.
but anyway, i expect a much better match tonight and i hope Arsène will play some of our stars cause we'll need them against ajax. and i don't want arsenal to finish in 4th place again in this tournament.
