Leeds would be a great move for him, they need a striker so he'd get plenty of games too.

Arsenal XI Vs Wimbledon tomorrow in case anyone didn't know and they're able to get to the game. Only a tenner to get in, 3pm kick off.

Wellington Silva should be playing again.

Arsenal are losing 2-0 to Wimbledon if anyone is interested.

Emilio Damian Martinez has made his debut on goal in the 2nd half, the U17 Argentine international we signed a little while back.

Wellington was apparently impressive before being subbed.

Good to see Yennaris get a call up to the U19s, very well deserved. The most promising player in our U18 side last season imo.

Interesting that Frimpong has been called up given these quotes:

"I have always said that, no matter what, I will always play for Ghana because at the end of the day, from what I believe, I am a Ghanaian.

“England has done a lot for me and my family but at the end of the day I can't see myself playing for England because I am not English. I am from Ghana."

Didn't stop him playing for England U17s and U16s either mind. Of course he could do with the added experience of international games atm though and the U19s are an ideal opportunity for that.

Talented squad there - Shelvey, McEachran, Keane, Wisdom as well as our 3 players.

I still think he will end up playing for Ghana for a few reasons, but I think that playing alongside Wilshere for the first-team these last few months may have given him slight second thoughts.

Luke Freeman has suffered a suspected broken leg. I like the word suspected, hopefully not too serious.

So many breaks at this club... hope he gets through the recovery quickly.

Good. Freeman really impressed me last season. He has a Rooney-like physique (but smaller) and runs all day long.

Traore linked with a permanent move to Benfica. No quotes.

Afobe - Aneke link-ups come naturally

Benik Afobe hit the 20-goal mark in the Premier Academy League last season and many of those goals will have been assisted by Chuks Aneke.

Afobe credited the midfielder with helping him achieve an impressive goal tally last term and says the pair's understanding comes naturally after a decade of playing in the same team.

"We've been playing together since we were seven," Afobe told Arsenal.com.

"Sometimes he doesn't need to say anything, I just know he's going to give it to me or I'll give it to him. It's something that happens naturally, I really enjoying playing with Chuks.

"Off the field we get on well and our families know each other too."

Afobe's stand-out moment from last season came at Emirates Stadium when he netted a hat-trick to help Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 5-3 in the Premier Academy League Final.

When he spoke to Arsenal.com after the game he was holding the match ball, which had been signed by his victorious team-mates. When we caught up with him recently, he explained what happened to that memento.

"I gave it to my Mum," he said. "It was her birthday that day, so it was my present to her!

"But that is in the past now. In the summer I was thinking about it and I was really happy with my contribution, and us winning the League. But now I am looking forward to the new season.

"I'm stronger and quicker than last season and over the summer I worked on things such as holding up the ball under pressure, finishing with both feet and my head, and linking up with the midfielders.

"This season should be a good season as it's a big one [for me]."

Two huge English prospects in Afobe and Aneke. Amazing that they've been playing together since they were 7 years old! By the time they reach the first team they will have spent 11/12 years playing together. That can only prove beneficial to first team in time.
