Yes I thought Mutu was one of the less stupid buys from the stupid spending spree in an attempt to stupidly buy the title. I think he will do well when he gets out of the stamford bridge madhouse

Its a story from the Sun so not much more needs to be said, even though it has been denied by him and his teammates.

His loss of form has been pretty spetacular, though.

He has a fantastic work rate and drops back to help out the midfield a lot. This was the start of his decline. He started playing too much like a midfielder and forgot his job was to play striker. If he or one of his midfield teammates received the ball the other striker was then left isolated and the midfield was unnecessarily congested. It had a detremental effect to the team as a whole.

Initially it was just a positional problem. His skills were obviously still there, but he was just using them in the wrong places. More recently even his skill has started to desert him. His first touch has been poor, as has his passing, shooting and dribbling. In short, he is totally devoid of confidence and nothing is happening for him at the moment.

He just needs to sort out his positional play first. Play a striker, and leave the midfield to the midfielders, and don't do so much running. If he does that his confidence will return and so will the goals.

Arsenal Quotes

The biggest things in life have been achieved by people who, at the start, we would have judged crazy. And yet if they had not had these crazy ideas the world would have been more stupid.
