Portsmouth 1 - 5 Arsenal

Arsenal goals
Thierry Henry x2
Freddie Ljungberg x2
Kolo Toure

Portsmouth goal
Teddy Sheringham

Great result, its good to see us going well in the 3 competitions that we are involved in.

I saw brief highlights of the goals, they looked great. The Football show over here, The World Game, showed about 10 minutes of utd highlights and about 10 seconds of our game.

Next Round: I believe that we will met Utd somewhere in the competition if not in the Semi-finals then in the Final.

Who was your MOTM? Whoever it was make sure you vote and leave a comment before Tuesday.

tg signing off :)

Everyone deserves it, but im choosing Kolo Toure. Seemed as though he played exceptionally well.

It has to be Patrick Vieira.

He took control of the midfield and that made the springboard for the floodgates to be opened.

I don't see how anybody can see further than Ljungberg.

Two goals and Two assists. Back to his best, just in time for the run-in.
Henry, Vieira and Toure are very consistent and played to the level we expect but i believe freddie was above and beyond his normal constibution and obviously fighting back from injury was good to see.

Got to be Ljungberg. Aside from scoring two and setting up two more,
there were countless other great moments. Like that little flick for Cole
in the first half, or the time he fought through two tackles and sent Reyes
clear (who was taken down, but nothing given). And here I thought Pires
might be missed on the left...

I thought Reyes was awesome tonight, looked sharp and positive. Whilst Freddie and Thierry were business as usual, Reyes stood out for me.

Freddie!

It was nice seeing him take more responsibility in the build up when Pires was resting.

Good job!

I'd say (strangly) Lauren. He was totally in control of the right side and was basicly playing two positions at a time

a big split in the voting!

not suprising, as their was no voting for team rather than individual players

team performance would have got my vote

Have to agree with you there Pat. Team performance would have got my vote as well. They were all totally committed, and this was best highlighted when AW made the substitutions none of them (TH14 in particular) really wanted to come off.
