I think Gilberto has played better than he did tonight before. I didn't see what was so special about him tonight, but I guess with Henry playing on another level it can be difficult to notice other players. :)

I would've said Pires 2nd, Vieira 3rd. Gilberto did do well though. He just needs to learn how to shoot.

Gilberto has got four this season which is good, but really isn't something he specialises in.

A nice volley, a header which was also a killer cross form Ash, a scramble in the box against leeds. I cant remember where Gilberto scored the other :?:

Neither of his headers were crossed by Ash. One was by Pires from a free kick against Newcastle, the other was from Bergkamp in that disasterous 1-1 draw with Leicester.

Imagine my surprise to find Thierry has 91% of the vote... only 91? What?
4 goals people, 4 goals! :D

That said I thought Gilberto was outstanding and am well pleased for him. Wonder what Clockie has to say about him...

Gilberto wasnt that great didnt think, made a couple of bad errors in first half but he did make some very nice passes and flicks... Very average performance as far as i'm concerned but I do still have faith in him.

Henry for motm of course

Ok yeah better than his average, still doesnt compare on the scale of Vieira, Toure, Campbell and co effort that they put into every match

It's gonna be a close one today methinks! Errrrrrrrrr.....Who shall I choose?

Gilberto. You expect that sort of thing from Henry, but I was pleasantly surprised by Gilberto's 5 star performance tonight. Others who stood out were Wiltord, Lauren, Clichy and Pires.
Couldnt have said it better...Truth is Henry should have finished his first three goals and if he didnt he ought to kick himself....Gilberto had a great game...and funny thing is...he has had a hand (should I say leg) in bout 5 of our last 7 seven games...he does it simple...get the ball off the opponent and gives it immediately to the player that can launch the killer pass...or quick move...he was brilliant tonight

henry for the fact he scored 4...but gilberto deserved special mention for his very nice assits...both were very clever balls...wiltord too did quite well..now i am wondering if wenger is going to let him stay?

What would be really interesting, would be to ask people who they thought was MOTM apart from Henry. If Henry wasn't an option, who was the best player?

Wiltord seems to be winning that at the moment btw.

I could use all the superlatives in the world, but that would still not be enough to describe henry's performance against leeds. What a player to have in your team.

If Thierry wanted to he would win the gold medal at the olympics for the 100m sprint. He would win it dribbling a ball as well

Henry registers his

5th Arsenal hatrick
His 150th Arsenal goal
Becomes the only player to score 4 goals in the premier league for Arsenal
3rd Arsenal player to reach 150 goals

35 more goals and he has the record. Next season it will be broken and one must wonder if he stays at arsenal for his career just how many goals he will score for us.
