Missing out on Alonso pissed me off, how good would of a cesc and Alonso partnership would have been?

Also missing out on Barry annoyed me.

Didn't Trabelsi end up at Arsenal on one of the Pro Evolutions games because everyone thought it was a done deal?

Wenger said that he thought Makélélé was almost a done deal.

Ribéry would've been such a Wenger player. Would've left for Real though when they came calling around 2009/10/ iirc. Bayern not selling him back then kind of put a ceiling to his reputation. He won a CL but didn't play the final, and he was absolutely phenomenal at his peak and probably the best winger in Europe apart from Messi/Ronaldo (who were/are strikers anyway), but is somehow always a bit underrated.

He was absolutely amazing that 2006 World Cup when I first saw him play. Best player on that French team not named Zidane.
