I think, by not including Laca in the league games, there is a chance that he will underperform in EL, which could be the only ticket for CL after all. He needs to start games or at least play 30 minutes per game.
We need to do what we did on Saturday but haven't done too often this season - win games early on so we can rest players or experiment. This will allow trying out a 4-4-2 or benching Auba and bringing on Laca.

Well, why can't Laca and Auba start 4-2-3-1 and swap positions during the game? Like somebody mentioned before, Firmino-Salah model.

Had plans and wasn't able to watch the match until late Saturday. Well pleased with the result. Hoping we can keep up the pace and focus for the rest of the season.

I was tempted to ask this but lets not get carried away. Everton were garbage and it was one game. Very promising but let's see this on a regular basis.
Funny, but this 'everybody beating everybody' scenario was predicted a few years ago when the TV money was getting big and lower clubs could spend more.

We're seeing it now. Liverpool and us losing to Swansea, Everton beating Swansea but losing to us. Chelsea losing to Bournemouth, Sp**s beating Bournemouth but Chelsea beating Sp**s.

This is modern football. But fans are still struggling to accept it. There's only City that have spent there way out of this cycle. Their squad is now getting close to £1bn. Us and Liverpool at £400m are still in the inconsistent range.

It's nothing to do with managers. Wonder when fans will wake up to the reality. Probability in action. ;)
