Agreed 100%. That late season meltdown really hurt as a Gooner. It felt like we had a truly talented side with all the potential in the world, just riddled with injuries... Teams were ****housing us and the refs wanted Lucky United to win the league that year it seemed like.

And the selection of jerseys we wore that season are probably in my top 3 favorite kits ever. Especially the white away-ones in that video. Reminds me of Walcott's run vs. Liverpool, and of Emmanuel Adebayor.

Probably our best chance to win EPL since we moved to Emirates. We played some great stuff and had complete team. That injury killed us mentally and we never recoverd.

Yup! Especially that part about us having a complete team that season is so underrated. People don't realize the level of talent our squad had. We were building a legit dynasty.

Imagine if in the remainder of this season: Salah gets badly injured, then Firmino breaks his leg so Origi becomes Liverpool's de-facto striker and Wijnaldum/Keita both become as injury-prone as Diaby and Rosícky. Then, after Man City barely manage to win the Prem, praise Guardiola into the heavens, call Klopp a specialist in failure and call Liverpool's depleted squad out for their lack of maturity...

We can all take solace in the fact that in a different timeline, that happened and the Eduardo thing didn't (tongue in chee, obviously, not genuinely wishing literal harm to anybody at Liverpool).

But man, it has been a turbulent & emotional rollercoaster ride being an Arsenal fan over the years, and we're still right in the middle of it. Wouldn't wanna trade it for a thing, though.

Very impressed with Sheffield United too, deserve to be where they are.

Kinda annoyed that these days football seems to be all about “pressing”, “work rate” and “running” though...any useless **** can do these, I want to see things on the pitch I can’t do.

Who cares about all these useless forms of basically exercising...football should be about the artistry, the technique...the mavericks that get you out of your chair...

I just went through one of the Sheffield United forums and saw them take this comment as an attack against them.

The sheer disrespect they have for our team really got to me. These feckers really think they are better than us in every aspect. Fingers crossed that the second Arteta win comes today, and I hope it's a brutal one.

Booked my trim for 15:15 but actually moved it earlier because I wanted to watch this game, what a sucker I am.

All i want to see today is progress. We played 20 good minutes against Crystal Palace, this time I hope we'll see a lot more shots on target.
I'm curious to see what Pepe will do today after his awful performance against Palace. We need him to step up with Auba out.

Not having Auba isn't a good enough excuse to not win.

We need to kick on now

Pressing football can be amazing admittedly, watching Klopps team just steamroll over opponents is very impressive tbf...just prefer Wengerball style football, probably because that was the style I most enjoyed watching.

Also, was watching Eastbound and Down again, and wanted to get a Kenny Powers gif in somewhere ;)

Arsène’s style could get really boring though, just lots of pointless passing while the opposition got back into shape and we had no were to go just to get hit on the counter. I much prefer Klopp’s constant pressure style.

Would like to see whom I have inadvertently pissed off

1-0 to the Arsenal. They've conceded less than goal per game and we haven't quite re-acquired the art of breaking down mass defences.

One moment of magic from Martinelli to clinch it.

We had best be up by 2 goals before the 80th minute because McBurnie will most definitely be on the score sheet today.

OMG!!! Not the Mcburnie who averages five goals a season and has already scored four this season? He plays for them?

We're doomed then.

If it were any other club Sheffield were playing I'd be skeptical about him getting on the scoresheet

People on other forums and twitter get so wound up by AM  they don’t realise how much we joke and take the piss on here but they always bite.
