Hope we get to see Özil tomorrow. It’s a lot of money to not play a talent like that.
Almost forgot he plays for us and not someone that makes any team selection ive picked in my head. Strange as Xhaka made the 4th version

The Özil hate on here is reaching Mustafi proportions. Not sure why. One has cost us game after game, the other is an assist king. One gives the ball away immediately, the other stills your heart when he receives it and makes exquisite passes.

The only thing they have in common is that when we lose they both get blamed by fans. One for making rash challenges, the other for not turning into a midfield bulldog, a payer he never was.

In Emery we trust. If he’s fit I hope he picks him.

Away game, Emery will go with 7 defensive players and maybe Ceballos, Auba and Pepe. No chance Özil plays.

Iwobi sold, Mkhitaryan loaned, Lacazette injured, Özil seemingly fully fit. No excuses not to play Özil imo. We will lack the creativity if he doesn't play.

I'd like to see

Leno
AMN Sokratis Luiz Kolasinac
Xhaka Guendouzi
Pepe Özil Ceballos
Aubameyang

What a damn shame, expecting to see this old crap

Leno
AMN Sokratis - Luiz - Kolasinac
Torreira - Guendouzi - Xhaka - Ceballos
Pepe - Aubameyang

More likely Özil will make a subsitute cameo. Hasn’t featured at all. Think Nelson will get his chance or we’ll go with 2 up front like vs Liverpool.

Greetings fellow Gooner! It appears that you have recently awoken from a coma and missed years 2018 & 2019. Meghan Markle has joined the Royal family, Boris Jonson is the UK Prime Minister, women are allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia and alas, Özil is far from the player he once was :(

Assist king?

He managed two whole assists last season. Mkhitaryan and Iwobi both comfortably more productive and that’s saying something. Aside from that amazing season in 2015/16 he hasn’t had more than 10 assists in one campaign.

Eriksen and De Bruyne are assist kings and they do so much more than that for their teams. We need to keep the bar high.

Come on, Eriksen and De Bruyne featured every week. Özil only started about 12 league games last season. You need to be playing regularly to be at your peak in the EPL. We’re paying £300+ a week for this guy, he’s a talent and he needs to play.

God damn what a **** weekend results wise. How do such a poor Chelsea team win at Wolves and United once again got lucky.

We have to win today. No excuses.

But Mikhi had to agree to this himself as well right? The reports I saw said he was happy to take a 50% pay cut in order to obtain a fresh start away from England and also get more game time. As p1ss poor as he was for us, he should be given some props for that attitude.
