First of all: good game by Fabianski today, especially in the second half, so kudos to him.

Secondly: I think I have a mancrush on Wilshere. His movement both on and off the ball is a joy to watch at times.

Toss up between Arshavin and Wilshere. Andrei just shades it for me. Looked very sharp tonight.

Wilshere isn't a bad player though is he?

Fabianski 8 seriously good performance, a little dodgy communicating at points but some great saves including the pen. Deserves alot of credit.
Sagna 5 All over the place at times and his passing was sloppy
Squillaci 6 started poorly but grew into the game, not too bad.
Djourou 5 not great but its to be expected after missing a full year of football.
Gibbs 6 did ok but nothing to shout about
Song 5 needs a good talking to, he's lost all discipline in his game.
Denilson 6 classic Denilson performance but loses marks for giving away the pen.
Rosicky 6 did ok, a couple of moments but overall mediocre
Wilshere 8 great game in the face of some seriously rough treatment, he's improving at an extraordinary rate
Arshavin 7 Good game from Shava, he just loves beating smurfs.
Chamakh 8 serious amount of work and a well deserved goal. Great run and strength for the pen and red card too.

Voted for Wilshere as MOTM, thought Fabianski was very good on a couple of occasions (especially the penalty save) but Wilshere was quite influential. Overall I'm very happy with the 3 points, well deserved.

Fab-7- we saw at the weekend that a penalty save does not a great performance make. Having said that, though he wasn’t much tested, he did everything he needed to. If I’m being honest he did nearly muck up and push the late save straight into the net, but he didn’t so, credit to him. This means a sustained period of him in goal I suspect- he wont be out until he makes a mistake, let’s just hope that doesn’t come against Chelsea.

Sagna-7- good

Squillaci-6- thought he had a horrendous first half, got the goal though

Djourou-5- dodgy

Gibbs-7- though he was good, particularly on the ball. Never a penalty.

Song-4- I’m really not happy with these kinds of performances from him

Denilson-6- thought he was good, unlucky for the penalty

Wilshere-8- really good work, sensational for the first. Hard work, strong, and his touch and brain are superb

Rosicky-6- good enough

Arshavin-7- all round was good, rubbish penalty, should have scored 3 in the first half

Chamakh-7- thought he held the ball up well and scored well

Pretty sloppy game against a mediocre team.
Too many wasted chances in the first half.
Arshavin, Jack and Denilson really played well in the first 45.
Song disappoints. Can't figure out if his instructions are to go forward, or is it his decision. His passing must improve.
A couple of spot on tackles from Denilson.
Decent from Fabianski except for a couple of bad ball distributions.
I suppose you can give the CBs a break since they haven't played together, except a reserve game.

Fabianski - 8. Needlessly came out a couple of times but otherwise looked good. +1 for the peno save.

Sagna - 7. Usual reliable self

Squillaci - 7. Solid, reliable, scored a goal.

Djourou - 6. Overcommited a few times which better teams will punish, but aside from that he's starting to look better

Gibbs - 7. Clumsy foul that should have been a free-kick rather than a penalty, but looked good again.

Song - 5. I don't want to be overly harsh on Song, he's one of my favorite players, and he did track back well today, but the amount of times he gave the ball away was appalling.

Denilson - 7. Daft handball aside, another solid performance.

Wilshere - 8. Superb assist, ran the midfield again.

Arshavin - 8. Hattrick on another day, so dangerous.

Chamakh - 8. Crucial goal, worked hard, won a penalty again, held the ball up well, linked play well. All you can ask.

Rosicky - 6. Good assist, but not involved enough, and a little sloppy at times.

Wilshere and Arshavin both had very good games. Gibbs, Sagna and Denilson had solid games too. Overall, it wasn't the best performance but I'm pleased we got the 3 points.

Rosicky was pretty ineffective for the whole game, his cross for the Chamakh goal was top notch however.

Very satisfied with a good win in a game I feel many people underestimated beforehand. Fabianski gets MOTM for me, pleasantly suprised. Not seen him play that well since the Carling Cup game against Wigan in 08/09.

Solid.

Squillaci 5.5/10

Another major mistake, but constantly was a good offensive outlet.

All over the place.

Denilson 7/10
Good performance.

Wilshere 6.5/10
Likewise as Denilson.

Rosicky 6/10
Didn't offer anything.

Arshavin, Wilshere and Chamakh all looked very good.

Everyone else was ok.

Except Song who was atrocious. It was painful to watch him tonight.
