Arsenal are the only team out of the top 4 to have to play 3 games in 6 days. Unlike Chelsea and City, both those games are away from home (all of Chelsea's games are in London):

Arsenal –
1/1/11 Away v Birmingham

29/12/10 Away v Wigan

27/12/10 Home v Chelsea

Chelsea –
2/1/11 Home v Aston Villa

29/12/10 Home v Bolton

27/12/10 Away v Arsenal

City –
1/1/11 Home v Blackpool

28/12/10 Home v Aston Villa

26/12/10 Away v Newcastle

United
-
1/1/11 Away v West Brom

28/12/10 Away v Birmingham

26/12/10 Home v Sunderland

It might not be an excuse for only coming away with 1 point from last night’s game, but it appears that Wenger was right to rest players ahead of the games v Birmingham and City.

Could anybody sum up the game for me in a paragraph? haven't seen any of the game at all just know the result. Were we lucky/unlucky to come away with a point?

In a nutshell we were both lucky and unlucky to come away with a point :?

Wenger handicapped the team by starting Diaby, Denilson and Rosicky in midfield. I doubt these three have ever started together before and honestly each has such glaring problems these days its no surprise our midfield was over run. There was no creativity, chemistry or truthfully desire from this set and Wigan's midfield outplayed ours.

It starts there in my opinion as we offered our forward line nothing of note for the first 20/30 mins and let Wigan in to a game they should have no right dominating, which they certainly did for a better part of the game.

Diaby, then Kos, got turned like muppets before N'zogbia won a penalty for a dive outside of the box. We responded well through Bendtner/Arshavin (each scoring once and generating the other chance) before the 2nd started.

2nd starts and we look clueless once more except Wilshere is now on doing his thing well. Wenger and the team lose grip of the game and he decides not to bring on subs/shake it up and voila they score.

You can blame the ref, but to me this one has to fall on Wenger.

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
Thanks Mista T just watched the game and very disappointed. Didn't even know Wigan went down to 10 men!

Regarding this last point - is this the final curtain for Vela? If he doesn't feature here, then where/when?

Leeds FA Cup! no your right he doesn't seem to have a future.

6.51 / 10
Fabianski..........6

Sagna.........6....solid for the most part but beaten for their goal.
Squillaci.........4......useless.
Koscielny........5.....he's like Clichy, does alot of good work but undermines it with poor errors almost every game.
Eboue.........5.....team looked horribly unbalanced with him at LB. And the flicks have to stop.

Diaby......N/A
Denilson...........6
Wilshere.........7....odd sloppy pass but he was a class above everyone on the pitch at times.
Rosicky........6.....tidy for the most part but in the role he played he simply didn't offer enough.

Arshavin..........6.5.....I'd say 4/10 but for his productivity in that spell before half time. So careless though and looked shot second half.
Chamakh........5.....seems to be going under the radar right now but he's not doing enough.
Bendtner........6

Wenger..........2....very poor. Never mind the wholesale changes - we led 2-1 vs 10 men despite looking poor for the majority of the game. Everybody could see we needed changes in the second half. Wenger reacts when it's too late, same old.
