I'm a fan of Gael but I thought he lost the ball needlessly a few times today. I suppose his defending was pretty good, they managed nothing down the wings today so maybe I should have given him a 6.

I'm a fan of Gael but I thought he lost the ball needlessly a few times today. I suppose his defending was pretty good, they managed nothing down the wings today so maybe I should have given him a 6.

I thought he was great dealing with Nani and Valencia...he did lost the ball cheaply later on, but that was because he was pretty knackered....he was great today I thought...but fair enough

His kicking was decent until the end when he was trying to waste time and hoofed 3 kicks all the way to vds on the bounce.

Ramsey brought something fresh to the midfield, as has been pointed out he was vocal, willing to organise, combined beautifully with Wilshere on occasions, drove forward often,got himself in a goal scoring position and then demanded the ball from Robin.
Brilliant to see that.
Such a cool, composed finish too.

Song, Kos, Sczcesny,Sagna and Robin also stood out for me but not quite at the same level as Ramsey today.
Theo was ok, didn't do anything special.
Wilshere still looks a bit jaded I thought.
He exchanged some lovely passes with Ramsey but he seemed just a bit off the pace.
Nasri looks burnt out at the moment.
Shava was super committed when he came on.
I think everyone's impressed with his new found tackling skills.
Very funny.
Clichy had some dodgy moments but I've seen him play a lot worse.
Didn't even notice Squillaci so that would mean he coped well enough.
Hope Djourou's injury won't keep him out for the Stoke game.

vds's kicking was poor but so was szczesny imo. Nearly everytime he kicked a moving ball it went straight to the opposition. Out of 39 goalkicks only 13 were succesful. Not to mention the 3 poor goalkicks near the end of the match which shue mentioned. I think he should pass the ball short more often at times.

I agree Sneezy could have kicked away less at the end (his 'time-wasting' was good in general though), but still a very assured performance otherwise.

@Yaya - out of interest, where do you get a stat like that from? Please tell me you didn't count it yourself! :mrgreen:
