I've come to the conclusion that Koscielny is an absolute miracle worker. Once Kos came back into the side Sokratis was looking ok alongside him. Put in solid displays against Chelsea, United and Sp**s for example. Without Koscielny he's almost Mustafi levels of bad.

Same problem as Mustafi and Luiz - good for 90% of the game, then does some stupid **** that cost us the game. Rather play someone that gives you a 5/10 performance but doesn´t make huge errors.

Koscielny was a bum too, he had plenty of Mustafi level performances of his own.

Souness was crying about players taking responsibility and making their own calls sometimes, “kick it long” etc, but it’s not that simple when you see that the team are under clear orders to always play it out of the back, even if there are problems.

I don't see a reasoning for dropping Chambers to play Sokratis.

Sokratis, Mustafi and Luiz... Somehow we have worse defense than 2 years ago.

Fair point,but theres a way to play out from the back. That was poor from Leno and especially Sokratis for the goal. I tend to agree with Souness too. Players should understand the game enough to make in game adjustments. Leno didn't throw it long once. He has the authority to mix it up and he's a total sheep if he can't.

Remember when some posters here were mockingly doing shout outs to people who didn't rate this bozo? By the end he was **** at Dortmund and he's been **** here too. The fact that 33 year old Koscielny could come back after a year out from an almost career threatening injury and within two games outshine him says it all.

He was following team orders. The players are under instructions from the coaches to play out the back at all times.
