Swansea vs Arsenal - Player ratings

Might as well make this, anything to vent some frustration. Let rip.

Szczesny, 5 - Not good today, his positioning for their 3rd goal was Almunia esque.

Djourou, 5 - Not bad, not great either. Good pass for our 2nd but got done too many times by Sinclair and Taylor.

Mertesacker, 4 - Crap, all over the place and had absolutely no composure at all.

Koscielny, 5 - Not his best game, but he was basically a 1 man defence at times. Constantly mopping up for other peoples mistakes.

Miquel, 3 - Awful. Terrible positioning and far too weak in the tackle. Got totally destroyed. Majorly at fault for their 2nd goal.

Song, 4 - Poor, constantly giving the ball away and not winning it back enough.

Ramsey, 3 - Really bad. Works hard but his passing was atrocious to say the least and he takes too long on the ball. Big mistake which led to Swansea's 2nd.

Benayoun, 2 - Absolutely shocking. Terrible work rate, terrible passing, terrible everything.

Arshavin, 3 - Rubbish again, started well with a good assist but then disappeared completely. Only contribution was giving the ball away.

Walcott, 4 - Great finish but apart from that he was terrible again. Does absolutely nothing in the build up and still can't go past his fullback.

van Persie, 4 - Apart from his goal he really had no effect on this game at all. Midfield couldn't get him into the game.

Subs:
Henry, 3 - Didn't really do anything, made 2 or 3 passes but that was really it.

Rosicky, 6 MOTM - He played well. As soon as he came on we began to get a bit more of a grip on the midfield. Made a nice little run which he finished off with a really good shot on goal.

Chamberlain, 6 - Looked really dangerous. He's clearly much more of a winger than Walcott or Arshavin. Still needs to track back more though.

Szczesny, 4 - Positioning was way off, caught in no man's land, no excuses there.

Djourou, 5 - Nice pass, reasonably solid.

Mertesacker, 5 - Only major gripe was his poor passes forward that put us under pressure.

Koscielny, 6 (MOTM) - Covered for Miquel time and time again, positioning was off for the second but kept the striker in a position he shouldn't have been scoring from anyway. We'd have crumbled without him.

Miquel, 3 - Really poor, exposed by his lack of pace though the off positioning isn't really excusable. Overloaded by the lack of cover from Arshavin.

Song, 4 - Bad, in fact very bad once compared with his other performances over the season having been so solid. So many miss placed passes.

Ramsey, 4 - Very poor, lost possession often, many miss placed passes. Feel he was unlucky that they nearly capitalised on all of his errors when it could easily have been any other player. At least there was hard work and a bit of something going forward. Would have got two goals on a better day.

Benayoun, 3 - Non-existent, held possession OK but we needed the experience to step up and make things happen.

Arshavin, 3 - Disappeared after a while, never looked a threat, no cutting edge once again and never tracked his man making Miquel vulnerable.

Walcott, 4 - Did so little, nice finish but his wing player was really poor. Would be a 3 without the goal. Not much movement and was schooled by a lower league fullback.

van Persie, 5 - Good goal, we didn't get the guy the supply he needed, opened things up when the opportunity arose but there was too little in the way of supporting runners and passes.

Substitutes:
Henry, 5 - Didn't do anything negative, opened up space a bit more for the midfield and his movement was an improvement over Arshavin's.

Rosicky, 6 - Did ok, benefited greatly from tired opposition legs. Seems good off the bench but i still have question marks if he can do the same starting.

Chamberlain, 5 - Didn't get the ball much but still looked more dangerous than anyone else. Looks most likely to just stick the ball away bar RVP.

I'm too disappointed to go through a score list but I pretty much agree with yours so that'll have to do.
Little bit harsh on Miquel though, the clever bastards deliberately targeted him and made his night a misery.

Rozza and Chambo get 6.5 each from me.

Why even make a ******* thread for this ?
So people can rate how each player did individually and vent some frustration. If you don't like the thread you don't have to read or post in it.

If this is what you expect of Walcott, you will forever be disappointed. Walcott will not be effective when being involved in the build-up play, and will not consistently dribble past his FB.

That's not Walcott's game or strengths, and are unlikely to ever be.

In this bad day, I think that at least Djorou played quite well, for positioning, tackling and committment. And the pass for the Walcott's goal.

I don't get why Miquel is getting such poor rates. He was fairly okay despite being clearly targeted. And at least he supported attacking players in his flank unlike Djourou who didn't cross the halfway line.

I'd expect much worse things from a 4-5th choice untested youngster.

Everybody had lead in their feet which is inexcusable considering they had a week off. Ramsey's terrible play deserves a special mention, not ready to start regularly yet.

Honestly I thought that Miguel played quite well considering he is playing out of position ,raw etc .

As for Ramsey no point in saying anything really . Not is fault he is playing and he does the best that he can do . I'll judge him next season . I will say though his first touch and descision making need a lot of work .

Think it was Djourou with the assist Yousif.
