Agree, superb vs France though.

Superb in the first half, he and Özil tore France to pieces before the handball madness.

Also I just want to point out how hilarious it is that people are insinuating that a contributing factor to us not winning the league is the fact that we play Özil in a 10 role in a 4-2-3-1 and had nothing to do with our deep midfield issues from December onward or Girouds goal drought. And thus we need to get Özil "out of the way" so to speak and shove him on the right so we can get 3 centre-mids in. Ignoring the fact that whenever Ramsey plays on the right it usually becomes a midfield 3 at times anyways with Özil drifting a bit to the right. But of course people suggest we need a whole formation change with takes our best player out of his best position. Nah, how about sign a top striker with good movement, make sure our midfield doesn't result in a Ramsey-Coquelin styled partnership and in general makes sure the team is playing well as a whole and our 4-2-3-1 with Özil as a 10 won't be a problem. Believe me.

Congrats to Mesut on making the Euro team of the tourney. That performance v France in a 2-0 defeat probably sealed it, I reckon.

Commiserations to Rambo, who was anonymous througout.

Wait, Özil didn't get in team of the tournament and Ramsey did didn't he?

neymar is a more skillful CR7, he plays nothing like zidane or iniesta. Özil is so effortless in his play almost looks casual like Zidane plus they specialise in the same thing. I have a feeling Özil is going to be appreciated more in the coming years as he is the last of a dying breed, look how long it took people to appreciate the genius of Andres Iniesta

That's funny, coz in that case, Özil plays nothing like Iniesta or Zidane then. Looking effortless... Is that all it takes? What about Neymars ability to dribble with his head up? I know, he scores goals by the bucket load, so unfortunately that's where he doesn't quite measure up to Özil and Iniesta :D

I agree, though, where you say Özil is a dying breed--although I'd probably say they're being phased out, rather than his type becoming somehow extinct,

A player's true character is in how he plays and not in his social life. You can hide your real personality in your social life, You cannot on the field.
