Bit unlucky - the only periods we needed him (pre signing Gabriel and when Gabriel was first settling) he managed to get himself injured. Gabriel (and then the shift to a high line) rendered him obsolete by the time he got fully fit. Well that, and getting monstered by Lukaku

It would be easier if we always had unlimited money and use it to buy countless 30+ million players to the defence line every window like some other clubs do. Sadly that's not the case (and I'm happy Arsenal isn't some oil club), so sometimes the club buys not so good depth in January if needed.

Mari is the worst kind of possible punt you can have as a club. Not young enough that you can still hope other clubs see his potencial, even if you gave him a massive wage bump and priced him out of moving to other teams.

Probably the worst signing Edu and Arteta made along with Runnason and Willian.
