Can't argue with that, but he's done some interesting Q&A's with the AST. I think he has a soft spot for Arsenal, hence his anger at Kroenke.

I’ve felt like he’s always sh*tting on us myself, had him down as a closet Utd fan.

Did he have anything to say about the next time we played at Old Trafford?

It's been a game of thrones at this club for the last 3 years.

But this is a better structure at least with 1 person at the top. The competence of the people in charge is the big question. Vinai's been at the club for 10 years. It's not the worst appointment but he'll have to learn the football side of the business pretty quickly.

Edu needs to be judged on well he can streamline this squad and improve the first 11. It's ridiculously bloated at this point.

Arteta's bought himself time with the FA cup win. The 2 above him are under a lot more pressure.

I hope we get to hear what the new structure of the scouting department is. Culling the old way is all well and good but what replaces it?

Anyone find it strange that Sven literally said our scouting department was bloated and had too many moving parts, only to streamline it all a year later? Then it’s suddenly news?

The redundancies, the Willian salaries rumours, Pepe fee investigation - it feels like the media has it in for us sometimes as they are all spun in a negative light.

Doesn’t help that the club never addresses these things and doesn’t have to cause of Kronke’s 100% ownership. Even Raul’s exit is shrouded in mystery.

The media is going to extrapolate based on the tid bits they hear. They don't have a clearer picture of the situation than anyone outside of the club. Kroenke's own the club outright, they aren't accountable to anyone.

I mean it's nothing new, sensationalizing and negative news sells and generates further clicks which outrages the mob and which leads to more news. It's the standard media cycle.

Lol I actually used to work directly under this don when I was at Clifford Chance. He is/was partner there.
Idk if you're trolling but that's really cool if it's true. Can you tell us anything about his character or morals? Does he strike you as someone who's willing to rock the boat?

Probably time to get an ex-politician on the board. Ken Clarke could bring some quiet style to the club. Failing that, what about that lad at the allotment?

Nah not trolling at all, started as Finance admin, then credit control then after my exams became an accounting technician. I was never a lawyer I just did his finances for him. Only talked to him about work so can’t comment about his character in depth.

Widely respected though, specialises in mergers and acquisitions iirc. Clifford is a magic circle law firm so being partner there is no joke.

It’s a good thing he’s on board in my opinion.

we seem to appeal to Labour leaders, so Ken Clarke is a non-starter

Thanks, that's good to know. You know you're basically an ITK now right?

When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.
