We need to rest all our starters barring Xhaka. Some of our players are approaching the red zone.

Tempted to go with Jesus + Eddie upfront for this one.

We win this and we're qualified for the next round and might be able to rest more players on the remaining 2 games.

Would probably rest as many as possible here, maybe start with Cedric at RB, Tomi/Holding at CB & Tierney LB.

Vieira, Lokonga, Youth in the middle.

Nelson/Marquinos/Eddie up front.

If in danger then can always bring some big guns on.

You do know the team that finish second in their group will play a team that finish 3rd in their CL group. We have to win this group. I still don’t get why our players can’t play twice in a week and the CL teams from the PL can. Play the strongest team we have. Sunday to Thursday is plenty of rest time

I think most would agree...but there arent really any candidates to fill Xhaka position.

These 2 games with PSV should give us a decent look at Cody Gakpo.

Europe group stage time, nice!

Players looking a little leggy so a good chance to rest some of them for the Prem on the weekend, as this match isn't that important...

We’ll be ready for them at home and we should have too much for them. I’m expecting a comfortable win.

This is an important game and rotation is not really an option.

Hopefully though, again, we can make use of the 5 substitutes rule to limit wear on players' legs. Would be nice if we could get a couple first half goals and then see it out with substitutions and pragmatic tactics.

If we can pick a strong team and win here, then that means we can basically play an entire reserve team away to PSV.

And even if we lose that game doing that, we play Zurich at home with a win to top the group (a game we could easily rest players and still win comfortably)

So would be happy for Mikel to go with the main team on Thursday, Southampton play on Wednesday too so it's not like they will be super fresh anyway.
