Does he walk back into the team given the impressive performances of willock and doozy this season, along with Ceballos star showing yesterday?
He was the best player on the pitch vs Newcastle and it's only been one game since where we didn't even really play any better overall despite Ceballos balling out. So yes.

I don't fancy any of our DMs to hold the line against Liverpool - but it is exactly the sort of game that will expose Xhaka's weaknesses

he will be bypassed with ease and pressured into mistakes when he's got the ball - will probably get a yellow, and if Emery doesn't sub him a fair chance of a red

Xhaka was fine against Liverpool last season, in fact he was amazing in the home tie.

Maybe

You're wrong, no?
I think he could do fine against Liverpool, their midfield is slow just as he is. The only worry is if he will be in a situation 1 on 1 with Salah

Wasn’t bad, wasn’t good.

Expect everyone to come in here and blame him for the loss against the team unbeaten in two years and arguably the second best team in the world.

Won't blame him for the loss. But wasn't really in the game till Liverpool started falling back after three goals. Just played back passes till then.

Agreed, wasn't the worst player on the pitch. Easy upgrade next season.

Not gonna blame him for the loss. He was f*cking pants though. Slower than a cargo truck on the turn. Constantly losing 50/50s. What do people seriously see in this fella? Torreira should have started this game.

I don't know why we set up to play out from the back when he's in the team. He receives the ball and plays it backwards nine times out of ten. He's **** when pressed.
Imagine xhaka trying to play 5 a side  . Not sure he’s actually learnt how to beat a player or how to use body feints to fool the opposition and beat the press. He’s not a natural footballer.
